Holy fucking shit... don't you people on this forum understand that the Wrestla is fucking with you? He makes up some shit, stirs up the pot, and you all come buzzing out like a bunch of angry hornets. It's god damn amazing is what it is... I wish I had the time to do it myself. He doesn't think higher ranked opponents are mean people! He doesn't give a f*ck about them, or winning, or probably playing motherfucking Risk... he's fucking with you people, and you always fall for it and get all mad and insult him. actually, everyone knows hes full of it. Its simply fun toying with him... my god, anyone can just search his post, and copy and paste a contradictory post that hes made in the past.... His first personna was that of a terroist bad guy..now hes pretending to be an upstanding CC citizen posting in the interests of the average player...but I have no fear that anyone with a reading ability over 5th grade can see right through it. Thats what makes it so fun. He simply jumps right out there and says..."look at me... Im saying something stupid again... call me on it"... so we do. I for one find it fun...easy...but fun. Ill find some of his classics buried away in the forum later. For now, Ill watch him carry on.

It doesn't? So what was it when you came out the gates saying that high ranked players are arrogant jerks? Now that you're getting peed on by a bunch of people yet again it's become mean spirited?

I'm saying this next part for your own good, seriously. You have a habit of starting threads that end up having very unplanned on consequences. Recently you started one complaining about Oceania having a bonus that was too high. Then there was the one where you disputed your 60th neg feedback. Now you've got one saying high ranking players are mean to you. All ended up turning on you. Do you see a trend?

If you look at things rationally, you'll find that very, very few people are either completely rude or nice. Almost all of us are in the middle. If you find an inordinately large number of people treating you like an a-hole, that it is rather safe to say you've managed to inspire that behavior in a number of people who are likely not predisposed to acting that way. Keep it up, and soon you'll have only those who are completely nice taking up for you. Of course, even their "support" comes down to "lay off the guy" which is not so much defending you but rather asking everyone else to rise above your idiocy and just leave you alone.

You owe it yourself to see that this is happening. You honestly do not have anyone to blame but yourself for these situations. You shouldn't blame the game for you rating, but you do. You shouldn't have some hack excuse for all of your neg feedback, but you do. You shouldn't be surprised that your actions here have caused CC at large to turn on you, but you are.

I like the points jpliberty is making. I will say that all in all I am very disappointed in you guys. I started this thread with the intent of generating some reasonable discussion and debate. People on here have turned it into a flame war, and ironically enough it's the high ranked players themselves who are shooting out all the venom. I guess it just goes to show what some of the high rankers are like. Keep in mind I said some, certainly not all and probably not the majority.

If highscorers are arrogant, are low scoreres insecure?

Whump, could you please give us your professional list of what personality each score has. It would be alot easier then getting to know them and judging them by their actions.

what about all the newbs/cooks/privates slinging about negative feedback on other newbs/cooks/privates, simply for losing matches?! i don't think i have left anyone negative feedback since a dude joined 100 games and deadbeated in all of them... sooo, i think someone that is a jerk, is a jerk, regardless of their rank.-0

Very true Owen. I stand corrected on my assertion that highly ranked players tend to be jerks. I would say a few are, but this is probably no different than the lower-ranked players. Thank you to those of you who made sensible comments on this thread.

I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule, but I have found many highly ranked players to be the most arrogant, pompous individuals on Conquerclub. They are the ones that use the ignore list and refuse to take players off it. They have to have their own way in a game. They call other people degrading things. Has anybody found the same pattern among players with high rankings? It's disappointing, because I wish that the skilled players would at least have the decency to be good people.

High ranked players are jerks. Now if anyone would like to prove me wrong, I would be up for a singles game sometime or even invite me into a multiplayer game. If you don't want to lose a lot of points to my bad ranking, I understand. There are some people on this site with a modecrum of decency, but they seem to be few and far between among the high ranked players.

You are not on my ignore list because you are not a good player and have a bad score. I play many with low scores, and always will. You are on there because I dont have time to deal with your insanity in the chat, and dont have time for a frivolous negative feedback, which Id bet money on, because you display the kind of character one would expect to do such a thing.

I only inform the community of the sad high-ranked player personalities because they consistently prove to be jackasses. Sorry for flaming outside of flame wars.

This was fun but I wish this wasnt so easy. Usually I have to look through a few different threads to point out such contradictions, and purposeful silliness, but you put them all in one thread for me. Thanks for making it easy, but next time, at least try to stay in character for one thread. I know its hard to keep your true self from slipping through, but you could at least give it a shot.

I've never played lump, yet he is on my ignore list too and I doubt that even requires any explaining to understand. It's hard to know the "personality" of many high and low ranked players on this site because some say next to nothing in games and rarely post in the forums. I realise a lot of that occurs because those players are preoccupied with many pages of games and rarely pause long enough to do much more than study the map for a moment... take their turn... and move on.

Personality? There's plenty of players at every rank that are way cool. If some prefer to be an ass here?

what about high rankers that are speeders. or high rankers that are casual 8 player. or high rankers that play 3 player games where chat is used much more to trick other players and more that just game play strategies are involved. Just thought it may have more to do with style of gameplay and not so much rank at all. Me personally, I have seen many more poor sports or jerk types who are low in rank. But thats just the hern. and there are more of them around anyway so really I am saying next to nothing and contributing in no real helpful way. hmm

Anyway, this thread started all wrong. What is a high-ranking player? Someone on the first page? Someone in the top 100? Majors and higher? Captains and higher?

My only bad experience with high-ranking players has been with Scott-Land, who put me on his ignore list, but that was my fault and his reaction was more of impatience than arrogance. He took me off later on when I apologized and asked for a second chance, so all's well.

Also, my ignore list is completely empty.
