Why are these computer generated dice so unfair?!?!?!??

Postby kerntheconkerer on Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:40 pm

The numerous times I have lost 4,6,& 8 armies in a row to a simple 2 defending it, and the many times those instinces have cost me games makes me wana sue CC and everyone in it at times. Also, the many times I've been against a whopping 1 army territory and lost 5 or 6 in a row...I'd almost prefer to play THE REAL GAME OF RISK (novel idea, huh?) instead of some unequal system of dice. I'm glad I haven't wasted a whopping $25 on this...I think its a communistic system in disguise, and once they get your money, they give you advantage to keep you playing and keeping their money rolling! ARGGGGGG
EDIT: yea i guess that is a little harsh Im just kinda TO'd...

Please complain to random.org that the athmospheric noise they use to generate the numbers doesn't always generate the ones you want, and file a complaint to each and every one of us that we're so incosiderate as not to click attack whenever the attacker doesn't win 2-0 so you could get all the good lines from the list of random numbers CC is using.

random =/= fair. If you want dice that alternate equally between defender and attacker, then play on Lux.

You need to be aware of some rules.

Firstly, premium players always get getter dice...obvious why.
Secondly. The powers that be, keep an eye on these threads...and those that moan and don't pay get even worse dice.
Thirdly. The robot marker on the site marks all written words in any laguage. Marks them with some odd formulaeic method, this also affects the result, the worse the writing, syntax etc. the worse the dice...so bad luck there.
Fourthly. Feeback levels always add to good or bad dice. Give loads of good, receive same and you get better dice.
Lastly. Strategy. The better you play, the better the dice are, simple really.

there is another way, but you need to download the patch to make the dice roll in your favour. I did have the address, but lost it...sorry.

Good luck.

Good for you though, getting it off your chest, you should start getting good dice in ohhh, around 7 to 8 weeks, or 100 games, whichever is the longest.

you could always download a dice patch to improve your odds and get better dice. that's what myself and many other players do. the instructions on how to do this are on the second page of this thread viewtopic.php?f=6&t=48276

i believe the dice work the same for everyone, I've had many bad breaks but have also had many good breaks. Played against players that had bad breaks and some that have done great. worst I had was 45 against 20, I was 3 and he was 10. Best , had 45 and attacked 60 came away with 25.

play alot of real RISK and you will quickly find out the dice are just as unfair and that that is just what random is. Unfair.
