A subscription to what? Playgirl? Sports Illustrated? Condom of the month club?

Condon of the month club ideally, but I suppose one to CC would be fine.

Honestly, you guys have no problem with this? Will you have a problem with it when half the posts in this forum are from a-hole kids who's moms say they can't have it so they start bugging total strangers?

a-hole kid?

And I'm going to be looking into the gambling thing as well, though I'm not sure it'll work - otherwise people make just take the money and run, and besides, it's normally when you make a deposit as well, which I don't want to do - no cash >.>

My sincere apology if this doesn't describe you. Perhaps your an adult with access to a credit card and simply has no problem begging total strangers for free things he doesn't actually need.

Perhaps you have plenty of money and just no character.

Perhaps you have no money and would prefer to play unlimited CC rather than working on the fact that you have no money.

Of course, perhaps you are, in fact, an a-hole kid who's been unsuccessful in hitting his folks up for the money and have now resorted to begging strangers.

For some inane reason, the powers that be here have no problem with you doing this which is why this thread hasn't been rightly gunned down like the one selling knock-off purses. I, however, do not share that opinion and will simply take it upon myself to remind you that what you are doing is lame.

i would stick to "prick", just to be sure you don't get a warning for flaming outside of the flame wars. it is always best to follow a mods example when dealing in the forums. so, stick to "prick", it seems to fall within the rules. now, as far as his still not getting premium, i hope someone steps up soon. this is a wonderful and useful thread, and if it needs to live on, until he gets his gifted premium, than so be it! i hope other freemiums follow in his, and the many others that have begged in the forums, footsteps, and give us the joy of christmas year round!!! i suggest we all have a town hall meeting, during which we can pull freemium names out of hats, and then gift them premium!!! Bit harsh there?

Not everyone has easy access to jobs. For example, most jobs require a certain amount of time a week. If that is more time than you have available, than taking a job, and working at it all the time does quite defeat the purpose of playing on conquerclub with unlimited play. And other than that, there isn't a whole lot of easy ways to make money for many high school kids.

Personally, I couldn't afford the $25. My parents won't get it for me. I have music competitions every week, I am one of the top in my school academically, involved in more school activities I can count, in particular, the Aerospace and Engineering program hosted at my school, and I don't have more than 2 hours a day typically. About an hour of which is studying.

I had premium given to me, and I can't thank them enough for it. It WAS the only way I could get it. Not everyone is a ... *ehmm, I'll not say it* with plenty of time to work. Some of us are going for an education for a later job.

Maybe give him other options, such as the gambling thing online? Something that could work without the time devotion of a job?

Instead of being an ... *better not say something else to get me in trouble* and calling him names? Not everyone can enjoy as many liberties as you apparently have. We're not 30 year old people with jobs already set in, with time available whenever we want. Not to mention, it's not always easy to get a job when you want one, at least in my area.

I'm not calling him lame for not having the jack to pay up. I'm calling him lame for begging someone to pay for him. More specifically, I'm calling the mods lame for not either gunning threads like this or making some other forum for beggars and generous sorts to meet up.

Sorry, couldn't let you off that easy. Please tell me you were joking with that first paragraph. Hate to break it to you, but I was once in HS. I also played sports, was an honor student, joined enough stupid clubs to pimp my college applications, and yes, had a job. Of course, we didn't have the internet. Now, let's just say you're as busy as you say. Well, maybe you don't have enough time for CC. Or at least, unlimited CC.

None the less, if you have some honorable reason for not being able to raise the jack to pay for premium, maybe a bit of that honor could spill over into not starting threads looking for strangers to hook you up with money. I know I'm not the only person who finds this a bit off-putting. I mean, have some freaking self respect. You're not some one-legged vet who's been left behind by an ungrateful nation who's just looking for a warm meal. You're a freaking kid who wants to play an on-line version of Risk. There's a very subtle difference between the two that I hope you can see.

By the tone of your response, you'd think that unlimited CC was inalienable right we were born to and that I'm just trying to keep a man from what is rightfully his.

He just posed a question. I can understand your position a bit more now, but maybe it should be rephrased (Psy Oct's question, that is) to what could help him get premium?

It was just one way he tried, as some are willing to pay for others.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR then bloody well wait until you have the damned funds yourself when you have the job you patronising little ****. What is it with you kids today....you want everything NOW.

I don't want to seem like some old git, although I am one. When I went to college, I worked as a Pizza chef 3 nights a week, an Ambulance driver 2 nights a week. I bought what I could with the money I had and if I didn't have it, I went without. If you can't afford to pay for membership, go without.

Yes... this is particularly pathetic. Go tutor some kids and get paid for it if your such a top notch student. 1 hour a week and you'll be able to buy yourself and all the other pan-handlers who show up here asking for premium. And if your life is "all books", then why do you even need premium???

Just like the public dole, and entitlements in general, once you give someone something for nothing, then there is no longer any pride to actually go earn it yourself... nor any shame in begging. In fact, you're a patsy if you don't try to get in on the action because the other guys are getting what you want just for sitting on their backside doing nothing.

And it's not just public entitlements... it's the hijacking of market capital into the personal piggybanks of executives who utterly fail at running their companies! I can tell you for sure that I doubt any decent CEO of a fortune 100 company whose doing the real leg-work of running their company should not have enough time to keep their golf handicap at a "pro" level... but they do it, and the companies pay out the $10,000's in country club fees, etc. etc. for them to do it... So kid, don't go into aerospace, don't get a job and real world experience ... you sound like you're already CEO material. You also already have the "my sh!t doesn't stink" attitude perfected -they'll let you right into the boardroom. Hell, why don't you go found a start-up, take it public, and we'll all just hand you gobs of cash for your stock because your so smart and all the working slobs of the world are so stupid that they'll have no idea how full of BS you are.

Sad, Fruitcake, but this is what the Western world has come to...

Such a smart kid should be able to come up with a way to get a hold of $25.

My advice... concentrate on your after-school activities. This horrible place isn't for such a high-class citizen such as yourself.

Not quite as easy as it looks. Much easier to ask here, among people who would understand the want for premium, than to ask someone you know to pay for a random online game he's never heard of. I have typically an hour a day. Enough time for more than 4 games, but not enough for a job. I might make $25 over the course of a few months, but I don't make it at once, and any I do make goes towards other things. And I do concentrate on after-school activities - but I love it online ;)

I was lost from what gdeangel said, and I'm not about to try and decipher it. Fruitcake, my point is, it can be done without. But, premium is enjoyable, and it was a question posed to ask if anyone would mind helping him out. I was attempting to explain why it couldn't be obtained easily. I'm not trying to come across as harsh, but apparently I did.

Yep, he explored that option, but lost out in the second/third round :/

I'm going to try and enter a few doubles tournies and see about getting him it. Thanks for the suggestion, too ;)
