Thread for the kindhearted

Postby flyboy91 on Mon May 05, 2008 5:53 pm

My shiny gold rank turned to silver last night. Yes, it's that time of the year again. And unfortunately, my bank account can't afford renewal...

I am currently accepting donations. The smallest bit would help. Let me know if you're kindhearted enough to help a fellow CCer play on!

Goal: $25.00
Current balance: $1.00*
Difference: -$24.00*

*Based on the impending signature change

(In case any of you are wondering, I joined in april, but they gave extensions as the server was going haywire)

Hey man, no one's gonna give you anything.
Its only 25 dollars.
Go mow a lawn or do something for your neighbors. Or sell something to someone.
There are plenty of easy ways to get $25. begging on the forums won't get you anything.

I'll give you $1 if you change your signature to:
Dear silly foo's,
The Bullet-Proof Bandits are you Lords, Masters and Intellecual Superiors. Bow down to their majesty and dominion while you tremble in fright and wonder.

then post 100 times in this forum before you you reach your $25 total.

Fascinating stuff.

Not the begging bowl stuff of course, that's awful. Go forth and make it one way or another flyboy. If you want premium enough, you will find a way, if not, stay freemium. Try work, I normally find that a fairly appropriate way to raise funds.

No, I am more interested in MrMoody...what happened to you? Were you refused entry to what is obviously the premier clan in this community? Is there some other reason for your vitriol? please tell.

Start a service where you supply babies to wanting parents. The best way to do it is to just start spreading your seed around randomly. Then, check back in with all of your partners after nine months to reap the rewards. After that, just start checking the Want Ads. I'm sure there will be some barren couple that are willing to pay a bundle for your new bundle. That'll get you $25 pretty quickly.

Nothing so simple as that fruitcake. Only a wager between friends as to how long it would take a bandit buddy to reply. I lost for the record. Over under was at one hour the reply came at 1:09. #-o pm to my in-box. But i was told "keep it up, and we'll have to make you a member!"

have a nice day

First off... the silver status is a badge of honor for those who can hold an officer rank with a 4 game limit IMHO.

Second ... if you really want premium, then I have to agree that $25 is peanuts... if you want to mow my lawn, that's $20 for an hour of your time. My babysitter is gets $30 for two hours of work... (yeah, lawn... kids... suburbanites sure have gotten their priorities mixed up). I remember going around to shovel driveways for a quarter... and people would look at me like I was ripping them off... today you can't even find a kid to shovel a driveway if you post an add and pay them what a college grad makes (yes, $20/hr = $40,000)... End of rant.

Third... this is the second of these threads I've seen in so many days. What gives??? #-o

FWIW, your rank has nothing to do with how many games you win but how often you win relative to how many you start. I agree that it would be hugely impressive to hold the highest ranks playing only 4 at a time but, I'm sorry, I don't see the huge feat in maintaining a score around 2000 only playing 4 at a time.

To be completely honest, my rank would be higher were I not able to join as many games as I do.

Wow you guys--

there's a reason I made it "Thread for the kindhearted"

Anywho, if one of you big-talkers thinks you're all that, put your skills to the test and wager paying for my premium if you lose

It's not that I think I'm all that. It's just that I know that I'm all that enough not to hit up people for free shit.

Do you walk into a bar and ask people for drinks?

What sort of wager do you expect us to make with somebody who's admitted they don't have $25?

You win, I pay your fee, I win I don't? Well, seems like I get that deal if I don't play you to begin with so I'll pass.
