"What the Frak" - I am a cook now.

Postby TyLord IV on Wed May 07, 2008 9:52 am

I use to be a Corporal 1st Class. Not the greatest, but something I was proud of since I am still relatively new.

I did well on the classic maps. But I wanted to explore the maps.

So I started playing as many unusual maps as I could to see what they were like. Then I discovered the Feudal War map and fell in love with it. So I loaded up on a lot of these maps.

I started to lose interest in the goofy maps, started losing everything. I thought I understood the Feudal War map and then all of the games started blending together. So I started losing most of them.

Now I am a frak'n cook.

I know it can't be me, so I have no choice but to blame the dice. ;)

I really do dream weird maps with colored numbers on them while I sleep.

Maybe I should wrap up my games and take a break for a couple of weeks?

What is it with you always trying to put down every cook or low ranking person? Your comments are unneeded. Take them elsewhere and grow up a bit.

There's a HUGE difference between playing feudal adjacent/FOW, or, at the other extreme, unlimited/sunny. Sounds like your issue may be a failure to recognize the difference...

I fell in love with the map, never said I was good at it.

I am going to wrap up my games and start fresh after a week. I won't join so many games at one time either. I really enjoyed always having a game waiting on my turn for me. I check my games probably once every 10 mins while at work. But I need to slow down and learn the Feudal map more.

That is not a sense of humor. You try to play it off as such because you got called out on it. Next time you try to burn someone think before you open your mouth.

I'm always careful before I call someone a noob-- and if I do, it is justified. Saying I call people that "the whole game" is a stupid exaggeration-- but what shall one expect from you? I made my mind up about you.
Anyhow, back to topic; dropping points is nothing to be surprised at-- you'll just as easily gain those points back. It's natural to go up and down-- but if you already started dreaming of CC, well, I do suggest you take a break, mate. :D

Kemmler, they are right, clearly you are teh p0st1ng n00b.

Be nice to people and they might be nice back.

Now, back on topic...TyLord, don't get sucked into those maps, people specialize in them to get points, and they are vicious at them!

Good luck climbing back up, just remember, now that you're a cook, you just get more points per win ;) ;)

Have a good one

I don't see how you can specialize in Feudal sunny unlimited??? In fact, that's about as basic and even a starting position as it gets IMHO. Compare to maps like CCC ... looks just like your normal every-day run-of-the-mill territory based map. Play it unlimited no cards and I guaranty even a half-rate player who gets first draw wins over 75%.

TyLord, here's my rule of thumb: Fog + 1v1 + strange map + high rank oponent + public game = be afraid. be very afraid!
