I can understand that, but in reality, you are among the "best" on CC. You're looking at the "best" of the "best". While you may not be in the top 10, you're still at a rank that the vast majority of players here would consider "high".

Congratulations! :D

I do not get Alliances from any players in my open game

I have Swords but I do not consider Swords A higher ranked player. But We did revamp the Scoring System. I do lose points and I do win points. And cooks and recruits do play in a lot of my games. So no I do not think thed score systemm needs re vamped

you must be shittin me wac. you never get any stupid players or panic alliances??!! come off it.

I have a bit of a problem with this one. Lower ranks aren't the only players making poor alliances. Often higher ranks will band together and kill off the lower ranks just to save points. Just as poor, in my opinion.

yep agreed. hence my point c:

The scoring system is fine. Extra safe-guarding will just create rating inflation, which is already adamant on the site. :!:

I play term mostly and nobody talks about alliances in my games. I know that is hard to believe but it does not happen as far as I know. (secret may happen but of course I am not aware of it)

As for STUPID PLAYERS I get new players who are learning you make mistakes when learning. IAlso there are different play styles just because someone does something I would never consider does not make it Stupid.

Also would like to change my statement that I have Swords to the corrected I have a Sword (& a sheath) MY BAD thanks to the observant one for pointing it out to me.

I am all for new players learning and whatnot. What I am not for is this... Say a new player or low rank joins a game. He makes a terrible move. I tell him he made one and proceeds to me "I play my game, you play yours" What good is that doing you or him? BTW I am in the train a cook society. I play singles games nearly all the time and other players moves can effect your game. As for alliances, I also see players targeting me when I am colonel or a major. Why? They think I am the best so I need to be taken out first. Case in point...

"2008-05-09 06:32:27 - Putrid Pete eliminated Bruceswar from the game in round - 3" Now this was in an 8 man freestyle game in which 5 people were ?'s and we had a cook as well. I was targeted from the get go and people crashed into me all over the map. I did not make any rash moves at all. Needless to say I do not have to play with any of them anymore.

I am a Teacher at the Society of the Cooks. WE do teach a few cooks and new people how to understand. I never tell some one in a game you did a bad move. But I tell themm if they have any questions then ask any of us in the game will help . At end of game I send the Straitgy for beginers That I posted a year or so ago. And I ask if they are interested they can join the school.

I help many people as well, but lets face it there are those who do not care and who may never care about if they win or lose. Personally I want to win, but some do not care. These are the people I am talking about. They "play for fun" as I have been told. We all play for fun, but also most of like to win. You should know by now some do not seek help, but only to be combative. I guess I must remember most of these types of players are teenagers who think they know it all. C'est La Vie.

Actually, one thing would be useful    4 MINIMUM POINTS when lose a game

The maximum amount of points one loses is 5xnormal, so there should be a minimum of normal/5.... Should I add this to the suggestions forum?

The 100 point max is already in favour of the higher ranked players. I don't think we need another limit that would only favour the top players.

The 100 point is not to favour big players but to prevent abuse of the system. I have had an idea one day to drop into points below 20, then catch Poo-Maker on 1v1 Bamboo Jack and swap points with him  Luckily I have read the scoring rules again.

The same is true with minimum: look at the most prolific deadbeater bejij :
2008-05-10 22:41:04 - benjij loses 0 points
This is how all his games end and this is not right [-X

The alternative would be to let people go into negative points, and that just won't work.

 What is your maths grade? If it is above D, tell me what is going to happen if benjij plays 1v1 against alangary under the current tules!

Good point, I hadn't considered that. I still don't think it should be made easier to do.

You can't go below 1, so if someone with 1 loses, they lose nothing. If they win, the player they beat can't go below 1, so they'll win 100 or 1 fewer than all of their opponent's points, whichever is least.
