I think we have identified the problem here...
wacicha wrote:these are the 3 items you listed
a) stupid play. recruits getting bored and suiciding. Not playing serious and studying the game.
I do not get Stupid players in my open games
b) god damn allying before one single player is double the size or a very reasonable threat to all others.
I do not get Alliances from any players in my open game
c) the archaic scoring system still needs balancing so higher points can play lower point players and viceversa without worrying about groups of lower score players (subconscious or on purpose) ganging the high point. And the same for high point ganging the low point to safeguard point loss.
I have Swords but I do not consider Swords A higher ranked player. But We did revamp the Scoring System. I do lose points and I do win points. And cooks and recruits do play in a lot of my games. So no I do not think thed score systemm needs re vamped

I have a bit of a problem with this one. Lower ranks aren't the only players making poor alliances. Often higher ranks will band together and kill off the lower ranks just to save points. Just as poor, in my opinion.

yep agreed. hence my point c:

I tell him he made one and proceeds to me "I play my game, you play yours" What good is that doing you or him? BTW I am in the train a cook society. I play singles games nearly all the time and other players moves can effect your game. As for alliances, I also see players targeting me when I am colonel or a major. Why? They think I am the best so I need to be taken out first. Case in point...
"2008-05-09 06:32:27 - Putrid Pete eliminated Bruceswar from the game in round - 3" Now this was in an 8 man freestyle game in which 5 people were ?'s and we had a cook as well. I was targeted from the get go and people crashed into me all over the map. I did not make any rash moves at all. Needless to say I do not have to play with any of them anymore.

I am a Teacher at the Society of the Cooks. WE do teach a few cooks and new people how to understand. I never tell some one in a game you did a bad move. But I tell themm if they have any questions then ask any of us in the game will help . At end of game I send the Straitgy for beginers That I posted a year or so ago. And I ask if they are interested they can join the school.

Actually, one thing would be useful![]()

4 MINIMUM POINTS when lose a game
![]()
The maximum amount of points one loses is 5xnormal, so there should be a minimum of normal/5.... Should I add this to the suggestions forum?
Timminz wrote: The 100 point max is already in favour of the higher ranked players. I don't think we need another limit that would only favour the top players.
kletka wrote:The same is true with minimum: look at the most prolific deadbeater bejij :
2008-05-10 22:41:04 - benjij loses 0 points
This is how all his games end and this is not right
Timminz wrote: The alternative would be to let people go into negative points, and that just won't work.

What is your maths grade? If it is above D, tell me what is going to happen if benjij plays 1v1 against alangary under the current tules!
