Don't be so ridiculous.

Hive-Minds are a good thing, I know it's true because the Swarm tells me so.

Don't be ridiculous, it's clearly a thread about freedom-fighters.

Actually, I think it's about rogue states but let's not get caught up with semantics.

Well, I'll concede the "it's a thread" part.

The OP is clearly misguided... there are clearly some teams that only roll together, but if you are looking for teams with a low ranked pawn, that's more likely a "training" or "mentor" thing, which is officially sanctioned by the site. Strong players want to be associated with a strong clan that can win clan wars and hold its own. That usually means a minimum score before you can get in, which means its unlikey to find somebody who is just there to be a puppet. I'm sure there are exceptions, and in particular people wanting to just learn a map the first couple of times... but the key here is being able to connect with other players at your skill level either to team up with or to play against - yes, against!

Since joining an active clan, I play a few doubles games with them, and I have yet to find someone who is dictating how to playthe game. We respect each other's play and that's it. One guy I play with will not say anything at all in the chat - I respect that and shut up as well. Another guy's English is only so-so, but I still think he's a great player and enjoy teaming with him. If there's a clan war, there is a lot of just find a partner and get 'r done (although you do have some inseperable pairs, but that's not the rule by any stretch), and you just rely on the fact that to be in the clan you've got to be able to at least play at close to a comparable level.

So maybe that clears up some of the misconception of the OP.
My ever constant two last games seem to have no end in sight!

I am not part of any clans but have no objection to them I feel this is more of a shock thread then legitimate gripe.

That's the thing. You should object to them. Clans are slimy, horrid things that cause us to question our belief in the Bill of Rights. Do you mean to say you're fine with human sacrifice? 'Cause that shits going on. I've seen it with my own two eyes.

Over the last few months I have be talking to a few people about CC and The Clans.
Most of the people in Clans seem to only play team games with their Clan members as team mates. They become well oiled Fighting Machines. Though these teams are formed as a loose association of like minded players. They soon start Coordinating their games where one person or as a collaboration, directing the whole game advising where to place armies. In affect becoming a single player against the opposition team, who 60% of the time is made up of lower ranked players who don't Know they are playing against one player with 4 times the fire power that they have . As the younger /newer team is not in constant communication with team members on messenger or Skype they can not hope to battle on an even playing field. Not understanding the importance of what is happening around them on the map. The Clan takes the points albeit few to be shared but as any major discount store will tell you if you watch the pennies the dollars will look after them selves
So what do we know about the clans, well from the outside they spend a lot of time preaching that it is all about the Strategy and they all spend a lot of time bitching about the random dice rolls not being random enough.
ā€˜No, it's about strategy not luck of the draw. I play a lot of strategy games and prefer to avoid the capricious nature of luck as much as possible’. .The fact is you are all just preying on the lower ranks for the points you crave. You become Obsessive, and Fixated on archiving rank and points to the point where the game is forgotten and only the achievement of rank matters refusing to play one on one or a non team event unless you have your fellow Clanies on a team to support you. ā€œI play dubs, trips and quad games just about exclusively these daysā€.

I see that strategy works as a gang / Clan you can support each other, taking unfair advantage of other players who do not know you are in a clan or that you have been building your tactics and working together for months just to present as a single force against all comers but 60% of the time the other team is not another Clan/ Gang but 2,3 or 4 newer players who don't know any better.
Much the same as the school yard bully's we all hated at school . You have in fact refined it in to a fine art and convinced your selves that it is strategy

Before you all claim this is not the truth take a look at how you mount a game or should I say campaign. Before you take a move you have had several hundred hours working as a team, against a scratch team of cooks and cadets who just want to have fun. Their may be a junior officer there, is that how you justify taking the points . You say "but they joined the Game" but they thought they were playing 3 people not one .

In closing, I ask should Clans be banned ? No but they should only do battle with other Clans if the members wish to hone their skills let them do it as a player in open combat. And let them practice their team skills against Clans, fighting it out with them selves earning their Rank and points against players of equal skills / experience

This is one of the dumbest posts I have ever seen! Playing in a group with the type of people you like to play with and getting better at playing the game is cheating?          Let me guess you have no friends to play with? perhaps was rejected from a group? Or maybe your not so good and are looking for something to blame.

Having a high rank is clearly cheating because you've had the time to practice whereas the new player hasn't so your high rank is a clear example of cheating.

Oh, I was going to say that it's the low ranks that cheat because we don't let the 2500+ pointers win every game they're in with us like they think they should.
