But, they were doing a fine job. They were staying consistent with the precedents that have been set. In the future, if you disagree with the rules and/or policies, make a suggestion in the appropriate forum, and if you just wanna bitch about something, take it to flame wars.

Im really wondering if your blind or just stupid!!

Feedback Guidelines

Leave only fair and factual comments that relate to a specific game.

Again, you are in the wrong forum for that kind of immature bullshit. I know you read these forums, and so I would assume that you've seen at least one of the other threads that stated exactly why they delete feedback like the one this discussion is based on. Deal with it, and move on.

Of course, I'm not a mod, but it doesn't take a genius to have read what they've said in the past regarding this topic, and retain that knowledge. The way this conversation is going, I think we'd be better off in a different forum.

i realy dnt care what they have written in the forums. when i paid to play this game the feedback rules was as below ;

Feedback Guidelines

Leave only fair and factual comments that relate to a specific game.

If you check the negatives i have left for others. They are all for bad game play, but only 1 has been removed (white moose). I dont care if a player deadbeats or misses go's, we all have lifes. it doesnt bother me a player is a bad sport and swears in chat (im not easily offended).

What I want to know is if im going to be playing against good players, who dot make stupid mistakes and also in team games that your partner listns and communicates and so on.

Ps...the player (sir.ricco) has stated that the move was strange and did deserve a negative. o im happy in knowing i was in some way right.

If you don't care to read what they've explained many times, you're being willfully ignorant. Congrats. You've forfeited your right to complain about it, since you've chosen to not know anything about what you're trying to "discuss".

I've also left feedback for really bad play, and I feel that if someone makes a monumentally stupid play, they should get a neg for it. However, I know that while this kind of feedback seems like a good idea to me, the people who run the show around here have decided that feedback is not meant for that, and will delete any that are challenged, and I can understand their reasoning for it. Score is meant to tell you how "good" someone is, while feedback is meant to be about everything else to do with the experience of playing with or against them. Whether or not, you or I think this could be better, it's the way it is. You have 3 perfectly valid options. Deal with it, make an "official suggestion" to have things changed, or go vent in the FW forum. Unfortunately, you have chosen option 4, which is invalid.

Yes. Very good. You've read one of the things that applies to feedback. That's a start. Now take your blinders off, and read some more. You could be surprised at what you might find. Although, I get the impression that you'll just be pissed off.

Feedback
Feedback is made up of comments left by other club members you have played with. These comments are valuable indicators of your reputation on Conquer Club. They are publicly viewable and stay on your record.

The feedback system is easy to understand. There are three kinds of feedback: positive, neutral, and negative. You receive one positive point for each positive comment, one negative point for each negative comment, and no points for neutral feeback. These feedback points appear next to your username. For example, lackattack ( 18-2 ) means that lackattack has received 18 positives and 2 negatives. Clicking on the feedback points will take you to the actual comments.

You may only leave one of each type of comment per club member and only one comment per club member per game played together. You cannot leave feedback while you are still active in the game and you can no longer leave feedback once the game has been archived. Feedback must also meet the following guidelines:

Feedback Guidelines

Leave only fair and factual comments that relate to a specific game.
Do not leave feedback for trivial things like missing an occasional turn.
Do not use foul language.
Do not fish for feedback (i.e. leave positive feedback to get positive feedback in return).
Do not leave retaliatory feedback (i.e. leave negative feedback in revenge of negative feedback).
After leaving feedback you can edit or widthdraw your comments on the "Feedback Left" section of your feedback page.

If you have any questions or concerns about a particular comment that you have received, please PM the author directly. You can respond to any negative or neutral feedback left for you directly on the "Feedback Received" section of your feedback page. You can also contact the Feedback Moderation department on the "Help" page to report feedback which does not meet the guidelines.

First off, I'm not a moderator. Not green.

So as a regular user of the site I'm agreeing with hulmey and thinking that this deletion seems questionable.

Even so, who cares really? Do people really read feedback from hulmey and respect what he thinks? :P

hahah, i dont care what they read. i rarley leave feedback, good or bad!! what I care about is unfair moderation that happens here at CC! To be honest with you, why cant we have fair moderation for all and if the mods cant do their job accoindgly, then they employ more mods. Maybe even have a mods moderation team.

we need more level headed mods with a little bit of commonsense!! Now i know its volunteer work, but im sure there are players out there who would love to be a mod and see the advancement of CC on all fronts!

Who care what bullshit sick bustards write in this wretched shadow of a forum. The following is the bible, a holy revelation by the God of Risk Lack:

 Feedback Guidelines
Leave only fair and factual comments that relate to a specific game.
Do not leave feedback for trivial things like missing an occasional turn.
Do not use foul language.
Do not fish for feedback (i.e. leave positive feedback to get positive feedback in return).
Do not leave retaliatory feedback (i.e. leave negative feedback in revenge of negative feedback).

Where does it say "thou shalt not leav feedback based on strategy" :?: :?: :?: :?:

Finally, if such rule exists then the mod must cite this as a reason to remove feedback. In hulmey's case the mod cited "not factual" and s(he) had no bases for doing. It is called hypocrisy....

You could try and read Twill's post again...

kletka wrote:Where does it say "thou shalt not leav feedback based on strategy" :?: :?: :?: :?:

I refer you too to the post that Twill made, it clearly states what you ask for and also it corresponds very well with what Lack has repeatedly posted.

I do however agree with you that the feedback guidelines and moderation has been very poor generally but that is part of the reason we're getting a new feedback system soon that hopefully will be much better (btw the new system will not allow for feedback on player skill either :D ).

the point is moot....the feedback system is changing...who gives a toss anyway...the only feedback i look at is bad teamplay....as thats the only one that can really be taken seriously...strategy is a point of view...
lack of communication in a team game is facts...
besides...you must remember this game is really serious stuff....

Why are you still going on about this hulmey, when we've made it clear moderation of the FB's is going away very soon? BTW, did you respond to the email sent asking for an appeal of the decision?

It seems there's been some confusion in this thread about what is and isn't allowed for feedback currently. I think people are confusing the proposed new system with what we currently have. As long as the comments are fair and factual, feedbacks can be left about strategy and gameplay, whether positive or negative. There's nothing in the guidelines that says you can't. This is why humley's feedback was reinstated. Now, we like to discourage the "WAA! He attacked me!" kind of feedbacks, as they aren't really "fair" since attacking is part of the game. We try not to get involved over disagreements over strategy, as how to play is very subjective. I'm not sure what precedent people are referring to, hopefully someone will fill me in.

I hope this clears up any confusion. The modding of feedbacks will be gone with the new system, however the feedbacks themselves appear like they'll remain for a short while ("frozen" for a few months) while we get used to the new system.

Thanks for the clarification. The "precedent" I was referring to was the case of Bruceswar, and also that of General K, which have come into the forums within the last month or 2. Although, they were both cases of leaving the game winner a neg based on strategy, and I can see that this is a different situation. I'd like to apologize for my over-zealousness in this thread. I just can't stand when people have nothing better to do than complain about something here, when there are other, much more appropriate methods of getting the result they want.

Ahh, were those uses of the word "suicide" when the person they left it for won? That had more to do with the meaning of the word than anything else. Suicide and Deadbeat are commonly misused. I don't remember each case, so if there's a thread or unresolved case, please link it so I can make sure everything is cleaned up and tidy with the old system before the switch. Thanks.
