Cross-Map Achievement ??

Postby AlbroShlo on Wed Jun 11, 2008 7:52 pm

What exactly is required for this award?

I take it to mean you need to win at least a six player game against people you have not played before on each map. If so are new maps included in the list (X) and if not where is the cut-off point?

I am pretty sure that all maps count, even new ones when they are added to the system.

For the bronze you would have to play 20 maps defeating 5 unique opponents in each map. That could be 5 1v1 games if you can win all of them, or a 6 player game would suffice.

To receive silver you have to do the same thing, but on 40 maps.

For gold the same thing on 60 maps.

Pretty much to get gold you have to defeat at least 300 people while playing on 60 different maps (and at least 5 different people per map).

Does that make sense? I'm not sure of my wording on that...I just woke up

Cross-Map Achievement,

"Awarded to members that defeated 5 unique opponents on each of X maps. Bronze=20, Silver=40, Gold=60."

I haven't played the new Rail map and still have a Silver Medal in this Category so it cannot include all the maps. This means there must be some cut-off point. Do you lose the Medal when a new map comes out?

ps: providing a 'quick fix' link was not very helpful wicked.......the initial question had to do with the specifics of the Medal not it's description that anyone with more than an IQ of 10 could have found

i don't think there is a cut-off point. the minimum requirement for gold is 60 maps played and won, beating at least 5 unique people in each map (am i correct about that desription?), and there are over 80 maps, so you don't have to have played all the maps to get one of these medals.

As far as i can see there is a question over whether you have to beat a total of 5 unique players or 5 unique players in 1 game.

eg. i win a 6 player game and it counts as 1 of my 20....
i win a 4 player game and a 5 player game with different people. Does this count as i've defeated 7 unique players but not in a single game.

I tried to check with mine but i have won 40 games where i have defeated 6+ in a single game and only have another 10 where i have defeated a total of 5+.

PS. to check your own goto game finder and type in your name. select 6,7 and 8 player games, and finished. Then click find. I then opened a separate game finder and ticked the maps where i won. (although look out for team wins as they wont count unless it is a doubles on 8 players.

Banana, yes. You must simply beat 5 different usernames per map for each of 20 or 40 or 60 maps. This does not mean you must defeat 300 people. You can actually beat only 5 people, but beat each of them on 60 maps.
