I'm having a depressing night. I was playing a good ol game of CC tonight. I came in as a cadet, but was just a crack below Private. I go up and down between Cook and Private lately because I'm fairly new to this, and also I like to try a lot of weird map variants and game styles to learn the ropes. Ultimately, the rank doesn't matter as much as the fun of the game to me, anyway.
So I play a guy named Ancient in a Freestyle speed game.

I'm trying to get the hang of Freestyle against good opponents so I figured an open 2 man game against a Lieutenant would be good training. Turns out, he's quick on the draw and was often blowing out my countries as I tried to fortify them.
Anyway, I was in a bad spot and I ended up throwing like 8 armies against 15 and actually won. Ancient then missed 2 turns in a row. He comes back and gets bad dice and pretty much says because I won't just let him win, I'm a jerk and am going on The Kings of Wars Foes List, and that I'll never get to play anyone good again. As it turns out, I ended up winning the game.
Now should I have missed two turns to be fair? I'm kind of new to this sort of etiquette. Letting other people win doesn't seem to be the right choice for any game. But maybe that's how the folks in the Kings of War list get the job done.
If someone can fill me in to the details of this elite list and how screwed I am that I'm now an official foe of it for not letting Ancient win, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
