To keep this brief:
I still think, for whats it worth, that wicked's firing seemed unjust.
However, over the weekend, i began to get a bad taste in my mouth -and not just the usual. I was as guilty as most, if not more, on the personal attacks front.
And this is the point: Lets stop the personal attacks on Twill and Lack.
Rational debate, and civilised argument is always the most effective way to DURABLE change. Unless there is something FUNDAMENTALLY wrong with the system (USA 1770s, RUssia 1917 etc).
That isnt the case here. I still have crticisms as to the way this site is run -more genuine listening to the community, for example, and greater openness -but the system itself, a small group of mods/admin is fine.
And lets be honest -whether its fine or not, its here to stay.
But the key point -lets try and remember that we're all human beings, and theres no excuse for vindictiveness and viciousness, unless serious crimes have been committed. Since this is the internet, thats virtually impossible -no serious "crime" has been perpertrated, so there's no excuse for bile or trying to ruin peoples private lives.
So -lets continue to voice dissent and disagreement where appropriate -but lets keep it civil, and in proportion.
STOP THE PERSONAL ATTACKS.
Oh, and to all those worried about "forum credibilty" -get a life
