Messages gettting stuck in outbox

Hey everybody, I'm just wondering why it is that sometimes when I send a pm it stays in the outbox for a long time; but at other times, it is sent instantly?

it only goes to "sent" once the recipient (sp?) clicks their "inbox" link. it switches over to let you know they know they have gotten a message.

I think it was different when we had the old PHPbb2 system, which would explain the confusion with many players. Think of it as sort of an In-house" reciever's read reciept.
