Your intimacy with his work is quite telling ;)

I was undecided between B and H went for H in the end i'm shocked B has no votes though

im shocked also. I couldnt decide between A B or H, and I narrowed it down to B and H, and I decided to go ahead and vote for H, thinking B probably had a ton of votes...

I didn't get to submit but I think C is on the right visual track. Brazil is a happy place where piecemeal art is part of the local flair.

I think the others don't really capture the spirit of the place as it does. It needs to tone some of the filter work down a bit but it's definitely getting there.

That's my 2 cents. It won't win with H having such a strong lead but I really think it should.

I like both A and H alot, they are both unique, but it dosnt look like A will make this cut, but H is going great!

There's something about A I also like. Kinda of a night time feeling. But it certainly looks like we already have a winner. Not much hope of catching up now. I'm not even sure if we need a second round "face-off" when the lead is that big.

1. votes don't carry over and everyone who didn't vote for H could vote for the #2 one.

2. the changes the 2nd place guy makes might make people change their vote from H to that one

3. you smell

No offense to you, Marv, but it must really suck for the creator of B to not have got a vote when even the old version did. I'm tempted to change my vote just so whoever made it doesn't get suicidal or something.

I like A the best it need a tiny bit changes but it is far better than any of the other maps. it reminds much more of brazil than any of the others.

To be honest none of them stand out apart from F, which i really really like but from a playing point of view the prespective view doesnt look right....

Maybe if the prespective looked more like H it would be a winner :D

this runs for a week, so people can come back and change their votes based on the way its shaking down. Anything can happen, and hopefully we'll be in for some surprises in round 2, especially if gimil does indeed let three maps go through.

Will the mapmakers be unveiled after round 1, or do we have to wait until the entire thing is over? I say open it up and let the mapmakers talk about their maps in round 2. I would like to hear what the mapmakers have to say before casting a final vote. Plus folks have already figured out at least one of them, and I'd put money on who did F.

Very glad to see B finally got some votes.

Maybe they can give some comments without revealing their identity.

sorry i'm late to this but there some very nice maps there!

(H) just seemed to have all the right components in the correct proportions: it's elegant, subtle yet striking; the graphics in which it is bordered are evocative of aged authority, yet it is very apparently retro-pastiche.

heh, just my 2 pennies worth.

i think you can tell most of the makers from the style of the map.
