Multiple Games Hosted

Postby 105howitzer on Fri Aug 01, 2008 4:10 am

Why is it, some people feel compelled to host 20 games with the same map.... filling a whole page with empty games nobody will any time soon join?? Why can't people host say 4-6 games...nothing more entertaining then seeing pages and pages of empty games..... all the same map, hosted by the same player... seems a bit over-board and a lot like spam.

That's just what some CC'ers like to do. They tend to focus on one or only several maps (probably because they're very good at it) and attract noobs and newbs like you to join (but they sometimes ask their friends to join too). It is usually idiotic to join games with skilled players if you're new...
And also, it is logical that they're creating so many games since they're premiums, which means that they can create and play an unlimited number of games. Not grasping this opportunity is a shame...

I like to create sets of games I've just finished my assassin set on maps - 8 Thoughts & Valley Of Kings.

Soon I'm going for a doubles set on Arms Race. Creating Games in Sets Gives far more Opportunities.

I'm sorry, premiums or not, don't make a lick of sense to create 20+ games that are just gonna sit empty.

But wouldn't it be better to have 6 games listed and maybe 2 of them fill within a week, then to have 20+ games listed and 2 of them to fill within a week while the other 18+ games idle in useless activity, plugging up a whole page of games? It's just damned annoying to have to scroll through pages of unfilled games knowing that 60%+ of them won't be filled in the near future. This game is slow enough as is, without having to scroll through page after page of empty games....

Why don't you just start your own game?

All 20 games would fill within the week.

At the present time, one player has 25 games listed........... he has 2 players in 1 , 1 player in another and 1 player in a 3rd........ at present....... so thats 3 games that are starting to fill....... and 22 games sitting empty..... and they'll fill in a week.... sorry I highly doubt that.

Just seems like a silly way to do things, Thats all I'm saying...... If per chance he only had 1 game up, then at this point he'd have 4 players in that one game, and would be so much closer to playing........ instead of sitting.

Not necessarily. The people who are not in the game that has 3 already joined may not have wanted to play those other people. This way someone can select their settings and decide that they want to play with one person, but not with another person. Also, these people might have one another on their foe lists.

Nah. As others have mentioned it is the easiest way to do it even though it looks like crap to anyone not interested in those perticular games.

I recommend using the Gamefinder. It makes joining games you want much easier than using the Join a Game page.
