Yep.

Although it seems (at least in my games) that red gets to go most of the time, the first up is selected randomly.

As extracted from Help under FAQ.
36. I just started a sequential game and I didn't get to take the first turn. Why not?

The starting order in a sequential game is randomized so while sometimes you will get to go first that is not always the case.

It may seem that way to you, but there are hundreds of games going on at any one moment. Each of these games needs to be taken into account when determining how random the data is.

Well, you see, it's random the same way the dice are.

Therefore, according to the people with piss-poor strategy... er... I mean... the people who have been unfairly treated by the bad widdle dice... you will never get to go first, the defence will always go first, even if you have 150 armies and they have 90.

That's the way it works here at CC. You will never win. It's a diabolical plan designed to infuriate gamers worldwide.

Hope this helps

Right now you are saying that it isn't random.
If you flip a coin, and the first 10 times you throw a heads, how much chance you got to get heads on your 11 throw ?
50%, right, exactly the same chance as throwing tails.
It shouldn't make any difference if there are 100 games at the moment that started in this or that way. Therefore you can't determining how random the data is by taking all those games into account.

You can flatten the data out though. Overall 1 and 2 will go most of the time because those are the smallest games.

No, what I am saying is that you need to take a large sample size that incorporates all of the information. Random.org is used to choose who goes first. There is the potential that over 20 1v1 games, a single person could go first in all of them, the odds are 1/(2^20) but it is still possible. But if one were to look at all the games created on the site (grouping games with the same number of players together, since the data would be skewed otherwise), then one would find that the start is random, and ends up statistically accurate.
