An average player that only plays 1v1 games would have a win ratio of about 50% while an average player who only plays 8 player games would have about 12,5%.
50% and 12,5%, equally good players.

you have played 100 games.. you have won 11... you have a very low rank... i would not hesitate to gamble on my being a much better player than you are with my 644 games played, having won 399 with a 62% win percentage... i mean, your win percentage is 11%... i don't care what type of games we play, i can pretty much guarantee that i am a better player than you are... period. and why is it always people with low win percentages that are proclaiming they are just as good as anyone on the site? i understand freestyle players that play huge games that are excellent players, can hover in the 30-40% range, but that is a far cry from 11%...-0

p.s.-notice how i took care of bruceswar coming in here and going off about 8 player escalating players and their win percentages? ha!!!

i am gonna throw the # out there of a minimum of a 34% win ratio as a very good indicator of a persons skill at these games, for starters that is.
and assuming that we are talking over 1000 completed games.
2'ndly look at the players game history, does he play a variety of games or just 1 map and only 1 way.

I'm sorry i dont have any respect for the type of player who ONLY plays trips or quads and teams up against lower ranking players
their scores do not mean much to me, and really how much fun is that, and then only to get less than 10 points for the effort?

3'rd, again looking at the players history does he troll for rookies to abuse and take advantage of?

There are a bunch of different ways to get cheap points, and then there are also ways to protect them once obtained, many higher ranking players REFUSE to risk their points playing against lower ranking players.

then you also have the any given sunday rule, where any one can beat anyone once.
and some players just cant beat other players at all, some players have only 1 game style and dont adapt.
the truely skilled players will learn and adapt to a given player or map and will compensate, bosche is a good example of this, he will play anyone, he doesn't seem worried about protecting his points.

for a true answer to the question we would need a tournament playing every map and probably for a minimum of 3x each to see who is truely the most skilled, but that would take forever.

the cross map achievement medal to me is the most valuable medal of the bunch as it shows a very well rounded player and is not easily obtained, thus a good skill indicator , but still just a snapshot of the bigger picture

except the cross map, and all the medals are bs when premium players decide to make 100's of games of all settings just so they can get their speed, assassin and term medals even though they never play those games *cough* JR and paradice *cough*

I've been playing about a year and a half to accumulate a measily 150 complete games,
so you'll need to wait about six years before calibrating my skillability.

then clearly, you aren't as skilled as me and my 1000 or so games
