Army deployment post attack

i'm a relative newb so maybe this is something obvious i've just never noticed...but is it possible for a player to deploy armies after launching several attacks WITHOUT having cashed in cards... i.e. player initiated turn, received armies, cashed in cards for additional armies, deployed armies (possibly all of them), then proceeded to attack several times, then the log shows the player deploying 6 more armies without having cashed in anything else, then they fortified and ended their turn....if this is obvious i apologize but it seems strange to me...could just be an error with the log...

EDIT: found the answer on the forum somewhere, deferred armies are only deployed after attacks...as i suspected something obvious i wasn't aware of
