5 Star ratings?

I have a quick question about the rating system.

Anything that I rate or review I have the same system/mindset....only give something top marks if it is outstanding and better than the best. However, a response left to one of the ratings I left asked why not 5 stars...whilst the person beat me I didn't see anything special in his play that would be worthy of 5 stars.

So am I wrong in leaving ratings that way or should I just leave 5 stars to all those who beat me and help to cheapen the ratings system?

Well, quite honestly, most players on the site don't follow the whole 3=average, 4=great (or something like that), and 5=exceptional. Most people will give 5 stars unless they have a problem with their opponent(s). ---C

You're free to use or abuse it how you see fit. Indeed 3 stars were supposed to be the average rating, but a lot of people throw a fit when they're not getting 5 stars. On the other hand you've got assholers who leave 1 star ratings for no reason. I've completely avoided the problem by not leaving any ratings at all.

I probably filled out the most ratings on the site and filled them all out honestly. There are alot of players out there that issue 1's for no reason.

Yeah, I naively started to hand out ratings at first. It was also interesting to see if my medal would be revoked once I removed all my ratings.

Why is it that everyone you rate gets the same rating for all three categories then? Is it not possible for someone to have a great attitude, but be a shit player, or vice-versa.

You have to realize that clicking on some stars is quite a spectacular feat. I've earned it, beejatch.

I got a poor rating and a tag for deadbeating and I never missed a turn. theres examples like this littered on my rating page.

green had a huge stack and lost them all on the last 2 rounds and if I recall dint even get a card. He had one of those games with the dice on the last 2 rounds that you just want to forget about.

useually i leave a 5 star when they were above average, and a one or so when there was something wrong, otherwise i pretty much leave it be

i give everyone 5 unless theres a problem
i give them 1-4 depending on how much of an issue the problem was

Occupation: Having my points unfairly reset to 1000. And I'm still at a higher rank than you, how sad is that? I should be at 4000 points by now, but who's counting? (That's right, do the math: 3000 + the 1000 I've gotten since my false accusation = 4000).
