Not necessarily the whole answer...

Recently I've been added to a clan - and I can't leave - some settings are such that you have to be removed by the clan leader.

Well the ad-hoc groups are above though, but they are not really considered clans

The clans forums are in a separate category between flamwars and the international forums but they are private....meaning you have to be in them to see them...lol.

Control Panel > Usergroups > Select Group > Resign Selected the dropdwon at the bottom

but on some groups it doesn't work

If they're by invite only clans, you cant leave unless the clan leader demotes you
