Also, while the computer I'm using (which until recently I thought of as "the back-up") is working fine, the monitor started flashing on and off last night, which meant I had to replace it with the one from the (knackered) "main" computer.
Now, that's fine but now the office needs to be rearranged as the wiring is all o ver the place, esp as the computer runs on UK voltage and is thus plugged into the voltage converter, while the monitor is on US voltage and thus not.
I am currently giving myself a sore neck looking over my shoulder as I type.

I can't find my little book of Mark Twain quotes, (it's in a box. I need to buy a new bookshelf. I have too many books and too little space... the price of urban living) So I had to go online. This doesn't sound quite right, for some reason, but it is the gist of the quote I remember:

Nice. Certainly woulda applied to some of 'em. Mostly for me it involved dozing through long and mostly pointless committee meetings, only to wake up sufficiently every now and then to realise I'd been given some other post I diodn't want either.
