I tried searching for "message" but didnt find anything.

My question: Is there a way to send a private message to someone?

There is a [PM] button on each post.
And on each person's profile page.
Just click it and you can send them a private message.

You can also access your sent and received PMs by clicking on the Inbox button on the left side of your screen under the Interaction Menu. Moved to Q&A from GD.
