oh heck, i'd even be interested to see a phony build game that went for the max # of cards... has that been done?
whitestazn88 wrote:dude... you can take 5 cards from other people though.... what if you were in an 8 player game, had 4 cards, then eliminated everyone else before they started?
that would be 39 cards....

you can only kill one person before you would have to cash with 9 cards

whitestazn88 wrote:using everyone's deadbeat logic, isn't 40 the correct answer?
all 8 get 5 cards, then all of them deadbeat while one just starts turns and leaves the game for an hour, no new card, no penalty....

Paddy The Cat wrote:coded wrote:Its actually 36 I believe. 8 player doubles game
Team 1 player A has 5 cards, deadbeats, give player B 10 cards.
Player C of team 2 has 4 cards and kills player B, giving player C 14 cards.
Player C deadbeats giving teammate player D who had 5 cards, 19 cards.
Player E of team 3 has 4 cards and kills player D, giving him/her 23 cards.
Player G of team 4 kills player E, giving him/her 27 cards.
Player G deadbeats, giving teammate player H, who already had 5 cards, 32 cards.
Player F of team 3 had 4 cards and kills player H and the game is over and he has 36 cards.

maxatstuy wrote:If you are including team games, (which I was not considering earlier because if any of my teammate were to deadbeat, cards are the last thing on my mind,) then the number would change, but the most would be 38 cards, not 36 or 33 which I said earlier.
In 8 player quads
Player A has 5 cards- deadbeats
B gets the cards so B now has 10 cards- deadbeats
C now has 15 cards
E kills C so now he has 19 cards- deabeats
F now has 24 cards- deadbeats
G now has 29 cards- deadbeats
H now has 34 cards
Player D who had 4 cards kills him and now has 38 cards
the most is 38 in a team game; for non team games, the equation is still (4n+1)

Ok. If player D deadbeats, then his cards do not go to player G. You are almost there. Eight player freestyle quads game: Team 1: A deadbeats gives his 5 to B (10), who deadbeats, C has 15. Team 2: E and F deadbeat, G has 15 cards. Next turn, D has 4 cards, takes out G (19) and C deadbeats, D (34). Next turn, H has 4 cards and takes out D (38).
Fipa wrote:Sorry didn't know that. How about this then: 8 player sequential game on the oasis map. Everybody has 5 cards except for player G who has 4 cards, and it's his turn. He takes the 3 grand oasis, finishes his turn and gets a card. Which now leaves everybody with 5 cards. Everybody misses a turn, player G starts it, but he does not have to cash in, because he automatically wins for holding the grand oasis. No deadbeats here. I could do a similar thing with the arms race map. If I'm wrong here too, I give up

THE ARMY wrote:Ok we know for sure the answer is 32 because that is easy to figure out. What we don't know is if cards transfer when people die. If they do then only in Team games would they transfer to team members, they would not transfer on sequential maps as this has happened to almost everyone before. So in theory the total would be 38 but nobody has ever tried it before. Therefore we must conclude that it is a CC mystery that will never be solved unless the day of reckoning comes and the actual game is played out. But be careful the day that comes might me the judgement day for us all.
