From what I gather reading Bolt's posts he was a one-shot JOAT. About as useful as a one-shot cop generally... I didn't believe his claim either and it's definitely a more sacrifiable role than say, any role that can keep doing something after night 4 IMO so I'm happy Illy took the shot. I question Pmc's logic about Illy in fact; it's pretty obvious he would have never played it like that if he wasn't town. Can you imagine a scum daykiller announcing and dropping hints about his kill? Unless, seeing the scene, he couldn't kill without having his identity revealed but I don't think it's very likely. And if you indeed think he is not town, why do you want to keep him alive and lynch him "if he makes a bad kill" only then? That makes no sense; imagine the cop finds a scum, claims and Illy shoots him because he's in fact mafia hitman and doesn't need to survive. Explain that to me please :P

So 1-shot kill, 1-shot protect, and 1-shot roleblock aren't useful abilities?

No three times as useful actually.

Maybe but its a lot more useful than many other roles nights 1-3.

On the contrary I think its very likely and does warlock sound like a townie to you?

Then we lose a cop for a mafia killer, a fair trade IMO presuming we aren't at LYLO. And we are a long way from LYLO.

I was in a rush and didn't feel like elaborating, but Its Bolt definitely seemed scummy to me. I thought his advocacy of a mass-claim seemed noobish (I assume he is one, as I've never seen him before)

he wasnt a newbie, he is a player from mafiascum or at least that's what i got told when i asked "who is that noob" that's why i found him so scummy and moronic for pushing for a mass claim, contradicting himself and claiming without being that close to a lynch instead of put an argument to defend his sorry ass.

Oh and sheep, of course i didnt believe his claim, i thought he took the easy way out, if i had believed he was protown in any way, even if he was annoying i could have defended him, as i have tried to protect other moronic players making suicidal moves in the past, 2 coming to my mind right out of the bat: Ani and william, of course both of them have improved since then.

:-s
I don't remember you protecting me in any game. In fact, I don't remember ever being a suicidal townie :? ......

Webcomics Mafia! Day 1

Postby Nzen on Tue Mar 03, 2009 9:07 pm

I guess since Its Bolt was a townie, I ought to regard what he said more critically. He mentioned six times that he or someone else should nightkill animorpherv1. I am unsure what motivated this. Since some here have played with him before, can you enlighten us?

Do you think he wanted vengeance against animorph for beating him in the Thing Mafia?

Or, would Minister Masket assign him a vendetta against animorph? I do not expect Its Bolt was the lynchee (if there is one at all) since he planned to kill animorph as a Jack_oaT rather than persuading us. That suggests that the nightkill would have been personal.

Animorph's posts have been short and expressed little beyond contradicting its bolt.

Its Bolt's obsession meant something, but without a better understanding, I can not draw any conclusions.

Did you even read Bolt's posts?
Its Bolt wrote:Second, wierd as this may be, a vig should actually kill ani since if he is scum he is sitting on a safe claim.

Its Bolt wrote:Vigging the lynchee would cause the lyncher to lose automatically, or at very best revert to a VT win condition. I am completely serious that I want him vigged as the only way having him around cant create problems later in the game is if the lyncher dies early. If ani really is a lynchee, the lyncher really doesnt want ani to get vigged given that they will of lost.

Webcomics Mafia! Day 1

Would Minister Masket really end the game if a lyncher killed his target? That seems like it would ignore the point of the game for the rest of us.

He probably wouldn't, but if you're actually town you don't want the lyncher to win ;)

Ok, we have an impending deadline and we need a lynch, or else the Warlock's kill goes to waste.

In my opinion, Inklosed is the most suspicious, followed by Flores. It sounds like InkL0sed is just trying to get away with a scum bandwagon vote here. Also, there is a difference between noobish and scummy. Just someone is giving out noobish ideas, doesn't make them scum. You shouldn't lynch a reasonably claimed proveable town role just because they sound noobish.

Unvote

Both the death scene and the front page say nothing about "one shot", I also don't see the posts of bolt you are talking about, as far as i can tell there is no evidence of bolt being anything less than town's unlimited JOAT.

Are we lynching today or not? A no lynch due to deadline is not going to get us anywhere. We need information, and a lynch will provide us information for future days. The more information, the better.

We don't have to lynch Ink, but we have to lynch someone, because a no lynch helps the scum.
