ronc8649 / gross abuse of the game & PM abuse [noted]

The accused are suspected of:
-Gross Abuse of the Game
-Member Harassment
-PM Abuse (Threats & Intimidation)

Comments:
i was talking to a member last night and was told of a situation they were hesitant to report due to their already being in C&A and not wanting to stir up trouble, and also because of threats already made by the offending member against him. the following is a quick rundown of the occurrence complete with images of the pm's and links to 2 games joined by the offending member, making good on his threat:

-FredVIII joined ronc8649's public games on City Mogul and ronc8649 did not like it.
-ronc8649 warned FredVIII to drop his City Mogul games or he would send FredVIII's open public games to his list of "all 3 clans that are corporal and below to join," and for FredVIII to never join his City Mogul games again. however, ronc8649 suggested that FredVIII play the settings on City Mogul of the games ronc8649 had set up to get his terminator medal easily.
-FredVIII, to avoid a confrontation, began his own games on City Mogul with the same settings as ronc8649's games as he understood ronc8649 had suggested
-this action infuriated ronc8649 and he stated that he had warned FredVIII never to join his city mogul games and that he was never to create similar City Mogul games. in retalliation for staring similar games, ronc8649 stated that he had sent out a mass PM to the before mentioned clans and was now joining FredVIII's standard City Mogul games with clan members to "F" FredVIII over.
-FredVIII placed ronc8649 on his foe list to prevent him from joining more than the 2 he had already joined, one with a fellow clan member, hoping further retaliation could be avoided.

here are the two games ronc8649 joined (one with a clan member) that FredVIII had set up, before FredVIII could place him on foe.

i think it is pretty obvious that to attempt to dictate to another member what types of games he/she is alllowed to join and/or create is ridiculous. to then attempt to bully/blackmail the member into doing so through threats of mass pm's to other clans, and threats of his entire clan becoming involved in the harassment, is well beyond the line of gross abuse. had ronc8649 simply placed FredVIII on foe, there would be no issue. however, ronc8649 attempted to frighten and bully FredVIII into never creating games of a certain map and certain settings through threats and intimidation. nobody can dictate to a member that they are not able to create their own public games on their settings, and surely not through intimidation, bullying and threats. i am sure FredVIII would love to speak with any of the mods/admins about this situation to verify the validity of this thread.

Why am I not surprised to see another example of ronc8649 choosing to be a nuisance, instead of using simple functions like the 'foe' list? Just yesterday, he posted this thread, which was an issue he could also have dealt with perfectly by using the foe list and PM inbox rules. He knows full well that he could resolve these issues himself, yet he continuously chooses to cause grief to other members of the community.

i'm sorry, but nobody can tell a player what type of games they can and can not begin on CC. and to threaten a player with retaliation from an entire clan, may be considered a bounty. this has nothing to do with my differences with ronc, this has to do with a gross abuse of the game and it's rules. FredVIII never agreed to any terms, and i am sure he will state that if a mod asks him. ronc8649 attempted to bully and intimidate FredVIII from playing an entire setting on CC. had ronc8649 foed FredVIII, this would not be an issue. but he didn't. he threatened and bullied FredVIII, which is beyond the pale.-0

First of all Ron: Owen is not the only one bringing up your regretful words, you seem to like to bring it up too. I understand he's muckraking, but man up, dude. You screwed up, live with it. Maybe then Owen will give it up.

As for the agreement, there is no proof Jeff was in on the agreement. He acknowledged that you sent him something, but not that he agreed to it. If Jeff did agree and he went back on his word, he's a douche. But you can't just demand he drop the games. All is fair in love and war.

Owen, the charges against Ron I don't think are really that terrible. Ron did tell his friends to join the games, but he's technically allowed to do that isn't he? As long as they don't have a secret alliance, all is fair in the public world. He did threaten Jeff, but the threats are laughable. This just in, Jeff is a good player, he can handle it. If they are not cheating, merely playing to win, I don't really see the problem, it's almost like trash talking. I DO THINK THE GAMES SHOULD BE LOOKED AT TO ENSURE NO CHEATING IS GOING ON. If the clan members are cheating, that is another problem... But the same goes with Jeff joining BW's games. BW is a big boy, he should be able to handle Jeff on his own, or foe him.

Jeff, you lied in your pm a few times. I wouldn't count it against you too much, but it's kind of hard to pick a side when you're lying. Work on it bud! And the pm abuse can be argued for both sides. I'd call it a competitive rivalry..... W.e.

I think all of you guys need a break from pming and playing against each other. There is way too much bad blood here. I had my problems with ronc too; we foed each other and a year and a half later we've both unfoed each other. Just give it a few years and everything will be fine!

Well it's strange that ronc would start all those terminator games on City Mogul. He says he wants to get rid of the map yet he plays it consistently.

Creating games with specific settings? If these two guys made a personal agreement like this, whatever happens is between them. This is their personal choice. If one violates it, they are just breaking their own arrangement.

Based from the screenshot, it only states that ronc8649 told corporals of 3 clans to join those games made by FredVIII. As long as those pm's are not threatening anyone, then it's fine. However, please be warned not to spam others with pm's to try and get them involve in your own personal fight with another member.

Seems to me the sentence "have fun getting fucked" might be interpreted differently, if one were to actually read the screenshots.
