Pat and I(BoganGod) are looking to form a recipe/menu idea/what the hell can I do with whats in my fridge user group.
Pat is a vegetarian hippy uni student. I'm a chef by trade with over 16yrs experience(yes I'm an old person)

Just looking to get a little discussion group happening, with all the different nationalities on CC there a countless food ideas to be shared.

NB - For my regular stalkers and the troll population, this is not a joke, and will be a constructive user group. Those that want to work out the best way to cook a vulture need not apply(cooking vulture is a bit like peeling prawns..... get an apprentice to do it  )

I think you should make tacos, but please, let me consult with my better half...

I'm in, so that I may learn to make something other than pasta and PB&J....

Excellent mate. I love thai food, shared a house with an indian chef, and a thai chef in sydney for a while, was brillant. Don't know whether you can get thai eggplant(pea eggplant) in the UK, but thai eggplant, stirfried with red curry paste, onion and coriander ROCKS!!!!! Add a squeeze of lime at the end. Taste bud heaven. :D

Thankfully we live close to two cities where there are china towns, Liverpool and Manchester (UK) and obtaining Thai ingredients isn't a problem.

Thai egg plant (Makua) is very nice as described there Bogan, but for a classic more authentic Thai dish add plenty of bamboo shoots.
Yummy.
And if you like a bit of a kick - add in some fresh green peppercorns (again found in your local china town).

sign me up. unfortunately im on a liquid diet with my jaw being wired shut and all so this group will prolly just piss me off more than anything but im starving. also if anyone has some good ideas for a liquid diet or anything that will blend and taste good lemme know asap. im tired of spaghettios and mashed potatoes. i need some substance and this might be the right place to find it.

ps. thanks for rubbing the fact that i cant eat solids in my face again Bogan.

Cheers,

Excellent response far keep em them "ins" coming. There will be threads for all tastes. I was raised as a vegetarian(god bothering parents), I have since learnt to love my taste buds and eat flesh.

Yep, sounds good. However, I'm not vegeterian but carnivorian - a person who only eats animals that eat other animals... Therefore I eat plenty of wolf, lynx and bear meat.
