Re: NV Mafia- Night 2

Post by AceArtemis »

-Scene-

Captainwalrus, examining evidence to hopefully catch another mafia member, was not watching his back in the crime lab. He did not notice the assassin sneak into the room. Without warning, the assassin fired one shot in the back of the head. It only took one shot, and captainwalrus was dead. The assassin then stole the evidence and left, just as stealthily as they had entered.

captainwalrus (Insane Cop)
has been killed!

In other news, LSU Tiger Josh's body was nowhere to be found. The town was prepared to give him a proper burial today, but without a body, this had to be delayed. Just when the town was debating where his body could have gone, LSU Tiger Josh walked out from his house. "Did you miss me?" LSU's body was as good as new, there weren't even any marks from the bullets. Everybody except colton24 (because the CC Mods threw him in jail) gave LSU a hug and welcomed him back.

LSU Tiger Josh is alive!

Begin Day 2! With 9 alive, it takes 5 to lynch.

Wow, so captainwalrus was an insane cop, but when he investigated the godfather his backwards result turned out to actually be true.

Great one walrus. Although you were nuts, you still served the town well.

And welcome back, LSU. We must have a reviver somewhere in this game. It's a good revive too. We need all of the investigative roles we can get.

Thanks for whoever revived me :) With that said, unfortunately my revival did come at a cost. I only have a % chance of viewing what happened now as a watcher since i actually died. I do intend on trying to find the b@stard that killed me though on night 0 when I never did anything.

Well, since he had deduced his sanity he was actually very far from useless.

So are you saying that you took no action on night 0?

I sent in an action, but was "killed off" before I could get a result. I wanted to watch PMC seeing how he is usually a good target for scum to go after although in this case would've been a fail seeing how he was actually scum.

well idk about a dead line
what i want to know cowboyz is why do you think an insane cop is worthless, captainwalrus knew he was insane so he could tell if they were scum if he got an innocent answer.

I think this was more of a slip up of his logic than any sort of scummyness though...

If some cop thinks everyone he investigates is mafia, then that sounds pretty worthless to me. We lost an insane cop and killed a mafia doing it. We still have a normal cop around. All in all it was a good night. How saying that is scummy is beyond me.

Also, how can an insane cop deduce his sanity?

An insane cop can investigate himself.

i could be wrong but an insane cop gets guilty for town and innocence for mafia, a paranoid cop gets guilty for everyone.

Right, an insane cop could investigate himself on night 1 and find that if he is guilty, his sanity is either insane or paranoid.

Do any cops actually do this though? Most people would just assume they're sane and play accordingly.

cowboyz wrote:We still have a normal cop around.

Maybe not. We never know how this game is set up. On my old forum, we would occasionally set up games with no investigative roles so that the town had to work only with scum-tells. They were difficult, but extremely rewarding when you won.

I don't know if cowboyz statement could really be a scum-tell. Although it is strange that he would say it when the insane cop was extremely helpful yesterday. I'll watch him closely, but I think it was more a lapse of thought than a scummy action.

An insane cop does not always get scum, that is a paranoid cop. An insane cop gets the wrong opposite result every time.
cowboyz wrote:We still have a normal cop around.
This isn't necessarily true we might not have an insane cop and a sane cop. Especially since an insane isn't completely useless and we have a watcher then I doubt we have a sane cop.
cowboyz wrote:Also, how can an insane cop deduce his sanity?
Well, he had investigated pmc who had the ability of appearing innocent under investigations and got a guilty result. After pmc was lynched he realized he was either insane or paranoid. At that point he investigates someone else. If he gets innocent then he knows that he is insane. Otherwise he continues to just tell the town everyone he gets a guilty for and we just keep that info until one of them dies, cw gets an innocent result, or cw dies. Then we know his sanity and the results of all his investigations.

I thought when you investigated the mafia godfather you get town, so when his insaneness reverses that he would get scum which what he reported. Wouldn't that make his deduction just luck?

No since insane cops would always get opposite of what they would've normally received as their real role.

Yeah, so now that we have thoroughly discussed the late captain's role; does anyone have any leads or whatnot they would to discuss to actually get anywhere?
