Your sarcasm has cemented my belief in your general cynicism.

Anyway, like all high-rankers who take on low-rankers for team games - it's a win-win situation. The high-ranker gets someone to help overcome point spread challenges, and the low-ranker gets help learning to improve their play.

Or the low ranker just gets told what to do - hes a pawn for quite a very long while - every high ranker knows how this works its just a way to get more points and lose less and if you are lucky you -the pawn- learn something on the way. BTW i do think Prism is a very good teacher but shameless promotion of doing this and not even by him?
I like all you guys but this just seems somehow to be a bit over the top...[-X

Ugh is this not what teaching is? A person of knowledge telling someone willing to learn what to do and why to do it? Yeah sure you get a low rank partner(sometimes), but you also get that low rank risk. They may not listen well, or they may move on their own, or even miss turns. With every teaching experience there is also a risk. Having mentored many people in my time on CC in both team games, standard escalating, and just about every other style I can say many low ranks would love the chance to learn from someone in the know. Rather that bash teaching why not support it and help some players out? It feels good inside when your student makes a nice rank of major, colonel, or even Lt. Teaching is a job or task that many are not up to. It requires lots of extra time and effort. I made this thread, since I was helping scout out new talent with potential. If anybody has a problem with it PM me (Not aimed at you) but anybody in general, they can PM me about it.

BTW for all the extra time being put into games while teaching, you deserves those 3 or so extra points.

Perfect in return for helping someone develop cc skills or account sitting.

Well while this thread is here.....this is a good example of a post by a player that breaks rules #6 and #7. I don't have any desire to spend my time playing with the vulgar. While I'm at it I'd like to add a #9 to the rule list, and that's an iq of 120 minimum. Rule #10 - premium.

Ronc, I made this thread since quads takes 3 or 4 players. One of those is often me. Prism had already posted in the mentor thread looking for some partners but not many read that thread. This thread has served a good purpose and about 5 people already want to learn. If helping out a clanmate is a bad thing, then I must be in the wrong game. 8-)

you are a man for doing it bruce.

but when your boy wants to get on here, and speak of iq levels, and accuse people of breaking rules, then he should realize what he is doing isnt right. i wasnt making fun of him, or this thread.

then i see he wants to call me vulgar for making a reference to felatio. come on man. then he wants to speak of iq's? and expect me not to get irritated? you know me better than that brucey!

Seeing as you are a mod you cannot, but the password is optional to all. If turns start getting missed your training would likely be over I assume. As for who would be the others, you would have to ask prismsaber.

I admit, it is something of which I'm quite fond. Although, I'm honestly not sure why I corrected you previously; that's not usually my style.

You are a tremendous human being. Us quality spellers need to stick together to fight the hordes of wankers who don't know the difference between they're and there, its and it's, to two and too... :D

Fun fact: people who are atrocious spellers appear 20-30% less intelligent to their readers.

Good spelling: it's not just for school, it's for life.

Also, spelling is an indicator of the cultural level of the human. Txt speech is for sms - leave it there. Here, at the forum, respect the others by spelling correctly and using punctuation. If you can't spell correctly - install dictionary into you browser :D.

Or....we could stick to english, and understand that people for whom english isn't a first language won't be perfect (unless you're karelpietertje). :)

It's usually obvious whether or not people care at all about spelling, punctuation, and the rudiments of grammar.

P.S. Seul, your current avatar makes me want a cookie far more than your previous avatar made me want tofu.

and not observe someones intelligence based on his/her spelling?!

Truth is, I know how to spell properly, although English isn't my native language. I just chose not to, but not because I like it better, but simply my job requires me to pay constant attention to big/small letters as most of network devices I'm working with are running under case sensitive operating systems, so I have used to type everything using small letters and no apostrophe. And yes, I do know the difference between your and you're. The question is does Incandenza knows the difference between "tvoje" and "ti si"?

P.S. Only atrocious thing in this thread is inability of some people to accept the fact that not everyone here is native English speaker, and not everyone have need to use English. I would love to see Incandenza using Serbian or Russia Cyrillic with proper spelling. That would've been fun.

I think you took what I said the wrong way, freakns, or I'm misreading you. When I said "let's stick to english" above I meant that it's the language most commonly used on the forums here - the language that the majority of us can communicate in, whether it's our first, second, or nth language. I don't really think that spelling correctly = intelligence, but I do like to see people make an effort to string together coherent sentences. And I totally understand that non-native speakers of english won't be perfect, and I would never hold that against them. But even with non-native english speakers, you can often tell if people take the time to organize their thoughts and type them out clearly - whether or not there are errors or inconsistencies.

you misread me. i was referring to Incandenzas sentence "Fun fact: people who are atrocious spellers appear 20-30% less intelligent to their readers." and only used your thought that was totally on its place... and of course we are going to use english, i never actually thought about really using different language...

btw, isnt correct spelling of "english" with upper case? :P
