Not really, alliances are not allowed but if someone is scared of your rank and is trying to keep you under control then you will have to adapt. Remember it not just the wins that matter it is the points and where you finish. Someone will sooner or later deem you as a threat and try to hold you back.

Groups 9 and 10 updated as of Feb. 23rd @ 1330hrs.

By the looks of things you will be needing to score in the mid 600's to move on.

Well if any other players drop out, the 5th or 6th in Group 10 should be allowed to advance. It is a tough battle for the 4th spot in Group 10.

If some one drops out it will be the highest score that does not advance that will be asked to step up.

Group 15 proving painful, four flatrate style players in the group and it's causing chaos :S. Should be fun to see how it pans out as one or two may get through.

Yes, it is quite an unconventional gameplay. :) I`m on a solid start, but we`ll see how the games will develop in the future.

Map Blaster, great job with the tourney. I find myself going to this page often looking for updates, something I don`t normally do with other tourneys.

Do we keep our points in the second round, or we start from the scratch? I would rather enjoy latter, as not all the groups are the same quality, espacially in the early rounds.

same happening in group 4:/ it pretty much annoys me, but yeah still #1 atm. but dont know for how long:/ its a mess

I'm working on my old rule from last map blaster, keep away from the flat raters and leave them to it, problem being they're everywhere :D.

The first round always works the same in Map Blaster, and if you know how to capitalize you'll do very well. In every group there's 2 or 3 players that are very good and dominate the games. Then there's 2 or 3 players that absolutely suck or can't handle the game load, and often hand games to the top players. Everyone else scrambles for the last 1 or 2 spots by picking up free wins from the bottom players.

The next round is where it gets interesting.

The first round has been alot of fun, but unfortunately there is no way i can handle this type of game load going forward. Please do not include me in the second round. Thank you for a well run tourney. Gl to all those who go to the next round.

Meh! Now 18 games in and group 15 is almost decided already I feel, is going to take a superlative tactical adjustment for 5th or 6th to catch 4th as they're already in a huge hole in terms of active games.
