Oh.....wait...it's not? Less than 5% of the worldwide market?

Why do you think that is?

There's many reasons as to why many people may not use them. First of all, people are used to Windows, and for one reason or another don't want to try another operating system. Also, for the gamers out there, Mac isn't compatible with all of the computer games that have been released (I think they're trying to make more mac compatible games though now). Also, Mac isn't quite as advertised and aren't as easily accessible as Windows is. When you walk into a computer store, most of the time you'll see more Microsoft computers, then Mac.

And correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe Macs are also more expensive.

That depends, but mac's also come with a built in microphone and now a built in webcam, as well as a bunch of other cool stuff.

yup they are used to windows, and mac is compatible for all games, the problem is.. to get them, you can hardly found any mac games or you must search very hard, well i don't mind as long as WoW can be played on a mac

macs are not more expensive, check the mac mini http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/W ... lm=Macmini it is not so expensive as some windows computers with those abbilyties (and some macs)

the most people also have windows because its easyer to do things when you first get on it.

Buy an non-built-in Microphone and webcam for Windows for a whole AUD$50.

thats really not enough to make up the price difference.

What about the fact that there is no tower and a flat screen monitor for most macs? And as the post before you said, they aren't any more expensive than any other computer.

The insulting poll option loses comedic value when the person being insulted makes it.

In my opinion anyway

Are you saying that you want antivirus? Macs don't get viruses so you don't need spyware and all that shit that you are forced to install.

Macs can still get viruses. However, there aren't as many. I can't remember as to why though. Perhaps part of the reason is due to the fact that Macs have a smaller user base then Windows.

Wisse wrote:o really? you can, you just have to know how!
and p.s you proved to have a brain of a 2 years old, windows is just easyer to do things with

Ummm ... yeah. It's much easier to upgrade a PC than it is to upgrade a Mac. That's one of the main advantages of a PC.

Wisse wrote:while with mac you can do more, and make it easyer for your self, you must just find it out how to do it, with the newest mac you can get back all your deleted stuff etc. and more things

Pffft ... I can get back all my deleted stuff on a PC too!

If I was a graphic artist then I would definitely use a Mac over a PC - I have been saying this for many, many years - but for anything other than design, PCs win hands down.

I can operate Linux much faster than Windows in shell, but tbh a GUI is there for a reason - to stop you having to go through all the commands involved in shell. It's very handy to know those commands, of course, you can do far more using them - but that doesn't mean that you should use shell all the fecking time! People should really get a life.

and you can only hack a mac with all ports open and than its still unusable, also mac doesn't have that much viruses, i have all my life a mac (i am 16) and never had any virus

Yes, but the main reason Macs are virus free are because they're less widespread. If I was writing a virus, I'd write it for PCs - because that's what 90%+ of the computers in the world are! Who cares about the 5% that aren't?

I only got a PC for gaming capabilities. Most of the good games aren't on Mac.

I got a 3.3 ghz 1 GB of ram 250 GB harddrive computer that records live TV like tivo and kicks total ass for $300.

A comparable mac would cost 1500 to 2000 dollars.

You could mod it to do that true, but thats how mine came out of the box. Ever been to the apple store, look at macs that start with those specs. 1500 to 2000 dollars.

How often do you see advertisements for Windows? Besides that, I have seen plenty of Mac commercials.

Why waste that kind of money when you can use XP on a mac and play other people's games.

It's compatable for it. By saying that they sell 1,000,000 more copies then if they didn't say that. It's a simple marketing scheme.

More viruses are targetted at Windows because there are millions more windows users. If all the stupid non-firewalled junk-mail clicking duped idiots owned macs then people would be saying Windows is more secure. Simple.
