Big Brass CAllout V! For charity , winners choice [FILLED]

Postby army of nobunaga on Thu May 27, 2010 11:28 pm

Looking for 7 more warriors.

So Far in the brass ball callout series... these guys have won...
In number one -- lurkerleader took it won 139 points http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=6761319
In brass II ---- pmchugh took the win and 67 points home http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=6830121
In Brass III --- one of my favorite warriors jackin_u_up took the win and 70 points http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=6836394
In Brass IV- a crazy major named aalii took the win and 72 points http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=6948558

So far this series has been epic... Big time battles by Big time players, putting points and balls on the line in the worse settings possible.

Where I grew up playing basketball and trashtalking was a must. You never backed down on the court. So even when my white 5-9 ass went up against the 6-6 champ, I still talked trash and believed I would win. ... Win I didnt. Learn I did. To be a champ, you have to put it on the line and always believe without a doubt you will win.

Thats what this series is about. Who here in CC says "f*ck it. Its manual, Its 8 man esc, Its random map, But I can take these chumps"

Game 7052627

I need 7. Bring it.

Id prefer you be an officer or at least 600 game vet.

But ill take you on regardless of your origin or status.

lets add some stakes... im sure i will win this one.. the other 4 were flukes... Winner tells me their favorite charity and I donate 30 bucks to it in their name.. If you are not afraid of breaking opsec with me and give me your name and add, it will be tax deductible. Im not rich, but im willing to wager 30 bucks to make it interesting and for charity.

The charity needs to be legitimate btw, Im not sending 30 bucks to harrys house of strippers. If there is any question in the charity legitimacy Ill just upgrade a person of your choice here.

deal?

viewtopic.php?f=31&t=118396

Im putting some money up in this one... Like to see what the best have here in really bad settings.

Reserved a spot for the current conqueror .... That probably wont happen. Ive met like 2 Conquerors that were actually players.. the rest were freestyle noob farmers.
no offense.

THis is a callout.. so move it.. But this forum gets the most views and its a special kind of challenge. A challenge for ppl with guts. A challenge that will help special needs kids or people in Haiti.. whatever the winner chooses.

adios

well i dont like your chances.. you guys are 1) weak CC players on settings outside your comfort zones 2) in general mods rather than players.

Believe it or not out of the 3.. Lord harry potter has the best chance out of you guys... that kid has balls and skill. regardless of how i feel about him.

but if you win so be it.. and as a man... a real man.. I actually give you a hats down for joining big boi settings most would not.

The current conqueror will not join the request I bet so maybe another mod joins.

If You win I hope you have a good charity.. I dont want to waste money on trash. I know 30 bucks isnt much, but still its something.

cheers and gl

I got in when someone declined an invite :)
I'll get back to you soon with a charity organization... this is very generous of you, AoN!

It's very interesting to me that you consider sequential escalating games to be "big boi" settings, while you believe that freestyle and team games are bullshit. I think that both require more skill than any type of 1v1s, assassins, or sequential escalating. I mean, feel free to disagree with me here, but it's hard to argue that those types of games require more skill than either freestyle or team.

Thats what this series is about. Who here in CC says "f*ck it. Its manual, Its 8 man esc, Its random map, But I can take these chumps"

Game 7052627

I know for a fact that, although I am at good at seq escalating games, at least half of the guys I'm playing are just as good as I am. How does overconfidence help me in a game of numbers and proportions?

AoN, when you're deciding whether to go for 15v9,1,1 and 10v6 for an elimination, are you really thinking, "I can take these guys. All I have to do is believe in myself, and I can win." Are you that deluded about the dice factor in CC, or are you just trying to make these challenges interesting by playing up the emotional factor?

Risk is nothing like competitive sports. Attitude doesn't count for shit in risk. It's all about experience, skill, and basic math.

EDIT (May 30): You don't even need to respond to this crap, AoN. I was drunk that night. Let's just focus on the game, shall we?

Not true.

I play a LOT of 8 man esc.s ... you dont just "go" for a 15 v 9.... first of all you make sure your stacks are put in the right spot at the right time.
You never auto... because there is a point in which you say"Shit, not gonna make it.. need to pull up into defense."

I could write a page on this man. Im not even that good at 8 man esc.

But THE POINT I think you miss.

Is the intitial "Im gonna join this and win" attitude that a lot of generals and such have here.

Scottland, blitz, tdans, dragon, LFAW, brucewar (i did invite him) I could have invited any of them, they would have joined. You have to have balls to enter a deathtrap and still have the attitude of "Im going to win"

and Im sorry man... some people are just GREAT at CC.... if any of those guys I had mentioned (there are like 15 more In my mind with these) were invited ... they WOULD have joined.. and they WOULD be a force... They would be the guy I looked out for.

It takes balls to get away from your comfort games... I dont think anyone (myself included) like these settings... But ill never back down from a challenge in life, in CC, in anything... never. I just look for my majors, and generals, and you colonel, to have the guts and the balls to say, ok AoN... you are on, asshole. And to join.

Big balls series is about putting your points on the line and joining... nothing else. Im tired of point whores in CC.

Anyway, thanx for joining and much respect for that.

gl to you and your charity
