"A number between 1 and 50,000 is selected for a set of rolls"

wtf is that? set of rolls? define please.

"If you could predict it, why the hell did you attack? If you attack when you know you will lose, you are dumb. It really is as simple as that."

Because If you are traveling down a predertermined set of fucking numbers (as you are claiming) then not attacking doesn't save you from anything. the next number will be there when you attack. who is stupid now?

"When the next set starts, a new number between 1 and 50,000 (on that same list) is generated and the process begins again."

I am reading this to mean that you are constantly reshuffling a diminishing 8 deck shoe. if you reshuffel everytime, it doesn't change the weight of the deck.

Incorrect. It completely changes the numbers. If you don't hit "attack" at that point, someone else will within a matter of seconds (much more quickly than that in most cases). Thus, they get your "bad dice". It really is quite simple...if you don't attack, you won't lose the attack. If you KNOW you are going to lose the attack, why wouldn't you just sit on your armies and continue to pile them up until such time as you DON'T KNOW you are going to lose the attack?

Incorrect.

Correct. If you must compare it to blackjack, then just consider it a case of ONLY one hand of blackjack being played before the shoe is reshuffled. No card-counting here!

So, back to my offer...how about you pick five maps and I pick five? That's more fair than my original offer...what do you say?

There's a set of 50000 random numbers from random.org which is updated every hour.

Everytime you make a dice roll, CC picks a spot in the array of 50000 numbers and reads the 5 numbers from that spot.

For an example, let's say we have this array of 20 numbers. CC then picks number 7 for the pointer, thus:

1 3 6 2 4 6 2 3 6 4 6 5 5 2 3 4 6 5 4 6

Then your dice rolls would be: 2 3 6 vs 4 6

So let's say you roll again, and this time the array index is chosen to be 9:

1 3 6 2 4 6 2 3 6 4 6 5 5 2 3 4 6 5 4 6

Then your rolls would be 6 4 6 vs 5 5.

So there's 50000 predetermined results for 3v2, another 50000 for 3v1, another 50000 for 2v2, and so on...

And this list of 50000 is refreshed every hour. So for all intents and purposes the dice are random.

There is a tool I've seen some use called "Dice Analyzer" (I think that's what it was called). Do a search on the site here for it...or likely, someone that already uses it will post a link to it here.

random dice dont go in fucking runs.

This statement proves that you know little of what you're talking about. Of course randomness runs in streaks sometimes, thats why it's RANDOM.

Oh crap, now I totally regret arguing with you in that other thread. You're going to ruin my dice :( :( :(

ok. what is the formula or method for picking the point. if it picks a roll for every time i am rolling 3v2... i would say in one hour i have rolled several thousand dice. more explanation is needed to defend the randomness of the streakyness.

hey gloverpark GO TO THIS THREAD AND DOWNLOAD THIS ADD ON!

viewtopic.php?f=527&t=5655

all you need is firefox it keeps track of your rolls. After you have rolled 1500 times come back and tell us if they are random. deal.

i understand it is streaky. what sort of random formula does CC have that picks the point?

From the Help Page, FAQ wrote:19. How do the combat intensity cubes work?

We have a series of 50,000 true random numbers from Random.org. Each time the game engine processes an assault or auto-assault, it select a random spot in the series to read from using a pseudo-random computer function. Each time the game engine generates a random intensity cube, the next number is read in sequence from the series (e.g. in a 3v1 attack 4 numbers are read sequentially). The series of 50,000 true random numbers from Random.org is replaced every hour. As of June 2010 we process 1,000,000 assaults per day.

I DL'd the analyzer.

is there anyway to get one for your opponents dice?

No, because there's no way for you to know what they rolled - you only see the outcomes of the battles.

You don't need one. Your opponents use exactly the same dice process that you do. Thus, their results will mimic your results, once you amass a significant enough data set.

basically you are saying it can look as random as the end of an 8 deck black jack shoe. as the roll pool the dice become less and less random...

while i was wrong that it was not a mean reversion algorithm, playing through an entire shoe is reverting to the mean! its boohicky!

Correct. It's not 'as random' as rolling the dice yourself would be, because that pool got limited by what someone else threw.
