This is an explorer game... What makes explorer games fun? Friends, Clans, stats, drama, and involvment in a community.

TRy this--

The newsletter will bring more than 5% of the CC players into the forum... Lets get more ppl in with more drama and more energy.

Energy makes success.

Bring them in.

And we all benefit.

So you think a Newsletter Tab would bring people into the forums? Could you expand upon your idea?

Do you think that giving Headlines on the Home Page (plus allowing people to subscribe to it via PM), isn't enough?

I think a little clicky... runs the internet Andy,

Little clickys make 10000000000000$s of bucks a minute on the internet.

A little newsletter clicky would be clicked.

and it would show the average user of CC that there is a deeper world for them to explore.

Its a good Idea and you know it... try to swallow your pride and forget the source.

I have many years and many many man hours invested here. My only motive to to make it better for myself and everyone.

edit to expand---- I jsut discovered the CC newsleter after like 2 or 3 years.

why? Its fun.. its well done.. its well thought out.. its a very nice piece of work. It makes even me want to get in the forums more.

A lot of ppl will not click a "forums" button ... but everyone will click the "newsletter" one jsut once... and it will be like a cigarette gateway drug to the forums.

CC has the worse time promo'ing itself..

Except the newsletter link changes on every issue, so unless you hardcoded a newsletter page on the site that could be updated, it wouldn't do a ton of good. Furthermore, a person wouldn't know if there was a new issue unless you also included a [1 New] icon or something.
