Has 'bad luck' ever changed your approach to CC games?
I seem to have had stinking luck recently in CC.
Bad dice have cost me 3 games over the past 10 days where i was in the ascendency and looked to be heading for the win.
I ended up losing all 3 because of terrible dice while attacking.
i dont complain or moan about dice, but this latest swarm of bad luck seems more intense then ive ever experienced on CC so i decided to chart my attacking dice.
Since the 10th march, ive played 37 rounds/turns on standard/term games.
In those 37 rounds, i have attacked 26 times against an enemy (human or neutral) with 2+ armies (it would be unfair to count the 1's).
Now for the totals...
Defending losses (Human/ai): 49
Attacking losses (me): 183
NOW TO THE REAL POINT OF THIS POST
i feel it may be forcing me to change to a more defensive gameplay. (i consider myself to be generally quite defensive already) so, i was wondering has anyone else ever had an extended period where they felt the victim of bad luck so considered changing their tactics or approach to the game, and if so what did you do?
cheers,
sols

I have had a bad luck streak, and though it may be over now, I still play defensively. Mostly I try to secure an area of the map, stack up on the borders, and only take 1 or 2 territorie per turn.

I don't really care enough to think about CC that much. You can ask my clanmates who are starting to play with me...I don't have a strategy. It's pretty much place troops, take a territory or two and if I lose...THEN KEEP ATTACKING!!

For some of us the bad luck starts early. For others, it never stops....

My strategy changes a lot depending on the dice. You just learn to live with it really.

When I first started playing, what I thought was bad luck, turned out to be poor strategy. In realizing that, my approach to how a play certainly changed!

The best strategy can be ruined by bad dice.
The worst strategy can be argued as best by good die.
Consistent game play determines who is who.
