Elder Scrolls: Arena
Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall
I played Daggerfall back in the day. I put it onto my laptop recently, and it took a while to get back use to the clunky thing!

Yeah, to be honest, even after you play around with the settings, it's not exactly smooth, but Daggerfall is just a massive game- plenty to do if you get in to it.
I've been meaning to get a game like it for the PC, but haven't researched any new games enough...

Can't speak much for new games, but I've had some good times playing a lot of the classics that I never got a chance to play as a kid. A Game Boy Advance Emulator will get you access to all the old Final Fantasy games, and more. Apart from that- I've been replaying Deus Ex and Baldurs Gate 2, both just excellent games.
