Nope, I won't. I like numbers and counting things, but I'll only count things that I have a random interest in doing!

In real news though, some leaked information about the DLC, Bethesda filed a trademark, which could be related to Skyrim due to some connectioneers. Also, I read somewhere that XBOX will be getting the DLC a month before anyone else, perhaps in June, but I can't seem to find that article again.

Could this be the new Elder Scrolls symbol after the so familiar Imperial Dragon symbol of Skyrim? Very interesting (and nice symbol) but would a Dawnstar game be in lieu of Skyrim, of which Dawnstar is already part of this time around?

I heard the rumor that Elsweyr would be the next edition in the Elder Scrolls saga, but I think they may be moving towards making their novel (or parts therein) into the next in series.

On their website they are pushing a novel called: Lord of Souls: An Elder Scrolls Novel

I am thinking that they might base the story of the game around this novel...perhaps even keeping the moniker Lord Of Souls. But where the story takes place is uncertain (if there is a specific place...perhaps the whole of Tamriel? YIKES! Too BIG!...or is it?). Again the Imperials are involved and a floating island city called Umbriel.

With a floating city in the game, that could make things interesting (especially traveling on the map).

Lord Of Souls: Elder Scrolls VI? It does have a nice ring to it.

Perhaps they plan to use the Dawnguard symbol, but revolve the story around Lord Of Souls?
That's not Dawnstar's flag, that's the flag of the Mythic Dawn cult, the antagonists of Oblivion which were wiped out after the Oblivion Crisis (Silus Sirvantes notwithstanding).

Interesting, you are much more versed on the series than I am. Thanks for the information and correction.

However, at this moment, my father stepped on my Skyrim and it is lost. All four months of character building...GONE!

I think I'm gonna make bumper stickers:

Has this game taught you nothing?

I recently read that there's a Morrowind mod that removes the main quest so you can walk around and just do stuff. Any news on whether the same is available for Skyrim, too? Or whether someone's working on it? The main quest gets in the way of doing stuff a bit.

I don't think I've come across anything like that. What does the main quest get in the way of, for you? I've probably only done like 30-40% of the main quest, since I've decided to mostly just explore the whole map and investigate map markers, and I don't think I've been hampered much.

You know, that general feeling you get when the world is ending and you're the only one who can stop it, but what you really want to do is murder the emperor or cut some wood for a farmer.

Once you learn Unrelenting Force, there's nothing you're restricted from doing. As far as I know, anyway.

This is how I've been playing nearly exclusively, haha. I figure, in my roamings around the map, my character is 'keeping the world at an equilibrium'---I'll eventually get to the main quest later. Though, with the Deadly Dragons mod turned on, dragons battles have become a lot more epic and hard, and I can't just kill them with a couple of shots from my enchanted bow...so I really have to decide if I want to fight a dragon, or run away from a battle if I feel I'm out matched in the terrain!

I'll create another character eventually, and I'll play the game radically different, both in terms of character set-up and my goals, and I'll play the main story line more exclusively.

I just got this game, and I'm not accustomed to huge world rpgs, needless to say, it's been rough goings. I spent about 3 hours trying to get up the mountain to see the greybeards, not realizing I had to start at that little town cuz that's where the path up was... wtf.

I did something similar the first time I had to go up there, I stole a horse and used that to ride up the mountainside. When I got out again I realised there was a path you could take.

The main quest ending was a little lame, slowly working through the game - still a lot to do though, Thieves Guild and College of Winterhold missions are the only quest lines I haven't completed.

That looks awesome. Does Skyrim handle a bunch of NPCs fighting each other well? I have a mod in Oblivion where you have to attack a fort that an invading Nord army is occupying. They limit it to about 20 NPCs at a time because it will lag if they go too high.

I assume Skyrim has been optimized a little better for a higher number of NPCs fighting at once.

I think that if you are getting that feeling, then you should probably save the world ASAP. Life will go on well after you are a hero and there will still be a lot of stuff to do. Look at the mod above.

I've been walking around Tamriel with people saying "All Hail, the Champion of Cyrodiil!" for way longer now than it took me to finish the main quest in Oblivion.

Just my opinion, but if you feel the need to save the world, then save the world!

I've never played Dark Souls. Did they make it for the PC?

Just kidding...

But I think it is time to start a "What's the best RPG game of all time?" debate.

For the PC players out there, thought I would link to this: The 20 Best Skyrim Mods (So Far).

It has a couple of gems in it, but there are a lot of others not covered by it that I have enabled, and some in the list I'd avoid as well.

A couple of those texture mods look really good...the flora one made trees look awesome.

I guess the author doesn't like quest mods??

Perhaps. I haven't downloaded any Quest Mod, since I am still dinking around in the main game. I'll probably only turn to Quest Mods once I feel I've exhausted main game stuff...and I am quite a ways from that I think!

Most of the people I hear that say the game is boring have really been those who dislike the story.

Since I play the game disregarding most of the story, I like the whole landscape exploration aspect. :D

The problem with Dark Souls 2 is that you'll spend about 40% of your time on mundane tasks like running across the world in order to have Blacksmith A turn Normal Sword into Super Cool Sword Mk 2, then you've got to run for about 20 minutes to UglyFace 1 in order to buy blah blah blah.

That wears down the fun-factor for that game. Just have everyone in one spot, or make them easier to access.

Other than that, I really enjoyed the combat--but I couldn't play it for long, with all that running back and forth. Best PvP and Co-op also.
