Roddick played the top seeded Brit in the semifinal...
which was also an amazing match.

I really want Federer to get another grand slam but he'll have to face Djokavic in the semis. It'll be interesting who comes out of the other bracket and into the finals.

I didn't think they would be in the same side of the draw (surely it should be set up to be seed #1 vs 4 and #2 vs #3 in the semis) but you are apparently correct. Murray probably wont get an easier chance to make the final than this.

exactly my thoughts, he is practically given a clear road to the finals the biggest competition he can come up against is andy roddick , jo-wilfred tsonga or marin cilic and he should be able to beat all of them.

Yea when I heard that I was conufsed too.

Also, I don't think Murray will be able to get to the finals. I got my money on Tsonga.

I heard that Murray has the way clean to the final because of Nadal defeat, so Federed and Djokovic must be in the same side.

I really don't understand those who support Federer nowadays, Djokovic is much more interesting to watch and follow. Federer is boring. As Nadal said, he's some sort of atlethic genius that has it all easy because of his great resilient body.

Djokovic hit a peak last year that I don't remember anyone else to reach, not Federer, not Sampras.

So let's face it, rooting for Federer is for the Swiss, rooting for Nadal is for the ladies, and rooting for Djokovic is for the smart, cool and handsome guys.

Djokavic still needs 11 more titles to tie Federer.

Also, I expect Murray to choke like usual (so I can laugh at the Brits).

now sharapova is gone, top seeds falling quickly.

Djokavic is looking in great form and will most likely win the title if he gets past federer

Laughing won't be a problem- everyone in the UK expects him to choke too. On the up side, England (Murray is a Scot) is currently the fourth best football team in the world.

I'm hoping to see Tsonga or Murray win it all, to mix up the sport more.

Is he? I thought he was an Englishman.

Also, I think I heard from the commentators during Murray's last match that the last Brit to win Wimbledon was in the 50s or something. That's absolutely ridiculous.

Hes the closest they have to a decent tennis player. Theyd prob claim him even if he came from iceland.

haha, Murray compared himself to Lebron. Sorry brah, but until you're considered one of the greatest tennis players ever, then you can compare yourself to Lebron (before he won the championship).

He's Scottish, and a Brit. He's not English though. Interesting fact, he was one of the survivors of the Dunblane massacre.

Tennis is different in that 128 man tournament the number 1 player goes on line 1 and the 2 player goes to line 128. The 3 and 4 are drawn at random for the lines that are in the middle, 5 and 6 drawn at the same time and so forth. So some tournaments will have the 1-4 2-3 matchup that we are used to.

I believe the reason they do this for grand slam tournaments is you would see the same matchups otherwise. This gets some different matchups and helps sell tickets im sure.

Basically its a random draw.

I play a lot of tennis, and I must say I really don't enjoy Wimbledon much, the surface is just too unfair.

Mixed doubles on clay, .. now that's interesting!

While you keep discussing girls' stuff, the tourney has advanced and in 9 hours Federer and Djokovic will decide who wins this year Wimbledon.

A friend and I bet on wimbledon. She picked Fed and Murray, and I picked Djok and Tsonga---and if we split, our representative choice we would have to back in the final to decide our bet.

Things aren't looking so good right now for my picks. Luckily the stakes were only a hand written letter, phewfta.

So true lol. I was under the impression that a lot of English people don't like him cause he told Henman he was supporting anybody but England in the World Cup.

Wow, Federer beat Djokavic.

I hope both Federer and Serena win. This will pretty much be the last chance for a grand slam for both of them.
