I don't understand why all these defensive troops are being sent AFTER the protestors breach the embassies instead of before. Everything this president is doing is reactionary, and it's putting our citizens in danger.

Seriously, Night Strike? There's almost certainly a buttload of very sensitive information there. I mean, geez...at least find something legitimate to bitch about.

So shouldn't those teams arrive before the protestors show up at the embassies instead of after?

I suppose if you expect the President (or one of his subordinates) to be omniscient.

Considering there are reports that the administration knew 48 hours ahead of time that attacks in Libya were likely, omniscience isn't necessary. Furthermore, they also knew that Tuesday was 9/11, so any partially credible threats should have resulted in a beefed up security contingent. But even if we assume nothing more could have been done to protect the embassy in Cairo and the consulate in Benghazi, that is no reason to completely ignore the other embassies and fail to give them more protection before violence breaks out in their locations. Especially since they had a day or two before the radical Imams issued their Friday "prayers".

Here's the problem:

1. There are many reports, some of which are contradictory, flowing through the streams from sources to specific bureaucracies, and from these bureaucracies to hopefully the correct bureaucracies, which analyze the reports, organize, and send them to whoever should know about them.

2. So, at the time of receipt, it doesn't mean that all agencies and branches of the government know of the report, so even though "the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi," it doesn't follow that the Obama administration knew of that information. Furthermore, even if it was reported, the seriousness of the information could've been downplayed in some brief executive summary, and that executive summary might even been glanced over. That happens. (I'm not even sure if Obama is actually in charge of these minor details. It would be reasonable that these kinds of problems get punted off to someone lesser in command).

Got a link? (I'm not saying you're wrong, but this is the first I've heard of it and I would like to see it.)

The administration has adamantly denied the reports, but here is the article: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/politics/revealed-inside-story-of-us-envoys-assassination-8135797.html

Interesting. I wish there were better information available on it.

I think the same thing is happening around the middle east that is happening in Chicago with the teachers. People all over the place for all different kinds of reason realize there are only a few months left with Obama as president, only a few months left to go as far as they can to get what they want.

The 615th Battalion of the New Mexico National Guard was serving at the UN base when it was overrun, apparently. UN troops radioed they were about to capitulate and had to be rescued by a reinforced company of Egyptian mechanized infantry. The tribesmen were able to capture the UN's weapons before the Egyptians repelled the attack.

In Jerusalem, the Zionists had to use mounted police and stun grenades to stop a crowd of hundreds of Israeli citizens from capturing the US consulate.

As they neared the US consulate, mounted police forcibly dispersed the Palestinian protesters firing stun grenades. At the Old City’s Herod’s Gate another group of Palestinians injured a few police officers with stones. Some were detained.

In Sydney, average Australians fed-up with Obama and his wars attempt to storm the U.S. consulate and burn it to the ground - repelled by combat police.

Hundreds of demonstrators threw projectiles at officers outside the US consulate in Sydney, shouting ā€œDown, down USA,ā€ AFP reported.

"We're now all in such mortal danger that the State Department has placed freakin' Australia under a travel warning for U.S citizens, but, hey, gay marriage is legal! Well, it isn't, but Obama sent out a press release saying it should be! Besides, we can always holiday in Arizona ... the Australia of America! Four more years!"

This is ridiculous.

Does the source say who the protesters were?

Extreme Leftwing Nutjobs
Islamic Terrorists in Training
Anarchists Looking for a Fight?

There is no justification for any of this violence against our embassy's. We have Freedom of Expression... the Gov't can't stop videos like this from being made. That said... you can kind of understand the ignorant masses in the Middle East, as they have no frame of reference for "Freedom of Press".... all their experience revolves around Gov't control of the media, so they assume that it must be the same in the West and this shit is sanctioned by the West (U.S>) Gov't.

The shitheads in Australia should know better.

Further... if these idiots bothered to learn anything... they would see that Western Media makes fun of Christianity and Judaism way more than is does Islam!

Get over it!

We should start dropping "Shoe Bombs" on these types of protests.

Just dicking around with google image search : f*ck You Hippie"

(Some pretty cool results,actually.)

Whipped up ignorant peasants enraged by hate spewing radical religious leaders.
Snowballs into a fashionable activity and taken up by frustrated ex-wall street occupiers to be copy catted in the west.

Productive? Pfffffttt.......you think the establishment is going to run out of marines or bullets?

If you wish to see what happens when a military or para military group is unleashed on the mob, just take a quick peek at Syria. If these embassy stormings keep up, you're bound to see at least one instance of crowd liquidations before too long.

Stupid Humans. On both sides.
If you truly wanted to fight the corporate "Man" , you'd :

1) Do it with your collective wallets
2) The fight would be over in two fiscal quarters
3) But the required consumer discipline is far more than your soap-box idealistic attitude can bear, so squeal if it makes you feel better; you enabled the system....and renew that daily.

I'm going back to bed.

I would be shocked if there weren't sensitive information on the hard drives of at least some of the computers in the embassy. It seems rational to me that embassy personnel (whether they be security personnel or the diplomatic personnel) would need access to sensitive material, and computers are the most likely way to not only transmit that information, but also to protect it.

I would be more concerned about encryption codes (protecting that sensitive information) eventually being broken due to the computer access rather than the sensitive information itself. That's likely much more of a problem, in my opinion.

I would be shocked if the state department didn't have a method to destroy sensitive information and computers in far flung places from Washington.

No, this is about people fed-up with their children being victims of Obama's Permanent War. If Beck were running the show things would be equally as chaotic now because he, like Obama, wants carnage on a global scale and is a radical Zionist.

In Libya, a secular government was bombed out of existence and Sharia fanatics put in place, but it had nothing to do with a desire to put Sharia fanatics in power. They just happened to be the ones waiting in the wings. The U.S. claims they are concerned about al-Qaeda but then try to destroy the enemies of al-Qaeda like Hezbollah, the Libyan Jamahriyah, the Syrian Arab Republic, etc. If the Dr. Saif al-Islam is released from NATO/Militia custody he could, in six months, wipe al-Qaeda out of the Maghreb. The Americans know this but they've contorted themselves into a weird position they could never hope to untangle, all because of the Zionists.

tl;dr - The U.S. doesn't have an Arab problem, the U.S. has an Israel problem. As long as Israel exists this situation will worsen.

I'm not saying I'm satisfied that Obama got involved in Libya, or even Egypt for that matter. Beck was right in that he knew the Sharia fanatics were the ones waiting in the wings. He was shouting it from the rooftops. Whether or not the desire was there, this was EXTREMELY predictable....

Why do Americans protest so little?

Is it because of the government goodies?

Is it because of the education? The nationalism?

Secularism is a part of it... Religion and it's use and abuse to control people actions and warp their minds is at the root of the protests in 21 countries, specifically all across to Middle East (not to paint with too broad a brush)

Beck only reads the writing on the wall if it supports his larger vision. The NATO genocide against the Libyan people was as big of a mistake as the forthcoming genocide against the Iranian people will be; but he supports the latter. You can't pick and choose which genocides will work out and which won't, a la carte. This isn't a cafeteria.

If McCain were president I feel guaranteed in saying Beck would have been leading the pack into Libya. He endorsed McCain, who beat the drum for Libya, he's endorsed Romney, who also was beating the Libya drum from the wings and is clamoring to bomb the smithereens out of Iran.

Whether you do homosexual porn Gay for Pay or Gay for Play, you're gonna get fucked. Whether you do Zionism for Pay (Obama), or because you really believe it (Romney), you're gonna get fucked. Until Americans realize that, the fires around the world are going to burn hotter and brighter regardless who is in power.

I'm not sure secularism matters. We've got a lot of religious people in the US, but you don't see them protesting in the droves.

France protests a lot, and those protestors are predominantly not Muslim... Oh, but they're Christians, so shall we blame that on religion or something else like unions?

no, secularism is just a part of it. We have lots of religious people, yes, but we do not have hundreds of thousands of religious fundamentalists who burn down buildings anytime their religion is offended, partly, due to our secularist (at least tolerant of) society.
