Weird thing is I didn't really start liking him till after his illness. Before I sort of discounted him out of hand because he was the only one of the horsemen without a scientific background and because he seemed the most extreme in his outlook.

It was actually the way he dealt with his cancer and death that got me interested in the man and I've realized since that I had greatly underestimated him.

The interesting thing about being such a prolific writer as he was is that, in a way, his death affects his presence and effect on the world less than a normal person's death would. Books are an amazing device as Carl Sagan used to say.

I definitely would want them to stand out and look dumb, so all us "present people" (future people to you and I now) would immediately know the past-people-robots on sight.
