Hobbits are only between two and four feet tall

Jesus was a normal sized human (so five or six feet)

Therefore Jesus > Hobbits

I saw it last night, and I was thoroughly entertained above my expectations (I didn't particularly enjoy the LOTR films). I didn't initially have high regard for the decision to make it into three films, but now that I see what they were able to do in three hours, I understand the decision.

I saw it yesterday.

(I opt'd for 2D. I don't mind 3D, but perfer it for high0speed action stuff like Iron Man or things like that.)

I was entertained... and I can see how it's possible to make it into 3 movies.

That said... I don't think they should have done that.

It'd be fine as 2 movies. Some of the scenes they play out much longer than necessary... trying to give an idea of scale / scope... and I don't think it's necessary.

I also think that they should have intermissions in any movies longer than 2 hours. Yes... the theaters would show less movies... but I think they would sell more food/snacks. I had to leave to take a pee about an hour into the film... had there been a planned intermission I would have held it; and then I would have grabbed another drink and some snack or something. As it was I just took the leak and ran back into the film... no time for getting another snack.

Way back in the day I saw the first Addams Family movie in a cinema in Manchester that still did intermissions. They really should be brought back.

I quite enjoyed The Hobbit. I think Martin Freeman was an excellent casting choice(I'm also pleased with the actor who played Kili it was nice to have a bit f eye candy). I'm very happy with the length of the movie/the decision to split it into three movies, but that's because the more Tolkien the better imo. I can understand how the general movie going audience could feel that it dragged a bit

I agree, I decided not to get a drink or snacks at all because I didn't want to miss anything. If there had been a planned intermission I probably would have gotten something.
