The fact that one group (homosexuals) is treated differently than another group (heterosexuals) in an area that is regulated by the government (marriage. You cannot argue that it is not a government issue because the government does regulate marriage and certain benefits/costs that come with it) is inequality under the government. Inequality in itself is a form of injustice particularly in a government system based (in part) on equality. Therefore it is unjust and therefore it meets the definition of oppression.

Well this is a conspiracy of the highest order. Here, Night Strike claims that a basketball player on the wrong age of 30 purposefully timed his coming out announcement to maximize his chances at gaining a contract, and that this was the primary reason.

Night Strike, give us your interpretation of this story: an American athlete coming out at the age of 25 and at the peak of his career with plenty of potential to boot, deciding to retire from the game. Now he's coming back out of retirement, presumably for a lesser team and definitely at a lower wage.

I await your interpretation of this. Surely it has something to do with advancing the gay agenda at all costs, right?

Denying gays from marriage is "unjust treatment." I know you're well-skilled in cherry-picking your Bible, but you should refrain from doing so with our civilized language.

How is it "unjust treatment"? Marriage has a set definition from the government. If a person doesn't meet that definition, then they don't get that privilege. The government has thousands of other set definitions that people don't qualify for. Are they being treated unjustly as well?

So for that I do sincerely apologize.

That being said, I would simply ask you to look at the things that we have brought up in argumentation against the things you have said with an open mind. Use that scientific part of your psyche and the critical thinking skills that I know you do have (as a scientist). It's almost certain that you will still disagree on the issue of homosexuality, and that's ok. You can hold that view. But I hope that by looking at the issue of how homosexuals are currently treated regarding marriage AND THE ATTENDANT RAMIFICATIONS of marriage, that perhaps you can see that they are treated inequally.
