I love being right.

But I admit, "roll of the dice" was not used by Player at that time.

Apparently, you enjoy parading your falsehoods more than being truly correct.

See, saying "success if far, far more about luck than anything else" is no way, shape or form saying that hard works is meaningless or irrelevant.

To lay it out..

George Carlin would not have had success if he had not been born where and when he was, would not have developed his skills OR sense of humor without his myriad of experiences, gifts of birth, and many other factors well beyond his control. Then, even having humor, he was lucky enough to come just past some of the worst censoring laws, as able to take advantage of the new openness and, in fact to make a business of paradying the old ways.

That is just for a beginning. Now, given all of that, yes, without hard work, it still would likely have meant little..but that is not given. Some people really do luck out completely, without hard work.

But my real point is that far more people work hard and don't benefit from that work or dedication than do.

But... also, George Carlin would firmly agree. He was not an idiot by any means, nor much of a hypocrit.

I'm confused, you seem to be wrong.

You are apparently done thinking, anyway -- or you would admit you were flat wrong.
