If the only American burgers you've ever had are cheap, fast food, Burger King or McDonald's burgers, then you've never had a fine American burger. Fast food burgers are crap, always, regardless of the country they are made in.

Bollocks.

well I can't exactly say much about other american burgers. I've never been to the USA and those are the only american fastfood restaurants here :(

You still have hard rock cafe, planet hollywood and all that crap anywhere. They have decent burgers. Here in france and belgium we have belgian fast foods called "quick" those are really horrible!

+1 @ this.

I won't argue. I loooooove cannoli and from what I understand it's relatively simple to make.

I think the best cuisine is italian, french, thai, japanese, indian and Spanish (even if spanish food is mostly based on the excellence of their products).

But after of course a great chef can come from any country, so telling that this or this guy is great doesn t mean the traditional food of his country is above average. Nor saying that after being to one restaurant that you didn t like the food from that country sucks.

Hey guise!

Did you know that potato chips were invented in Saratoga, NY when a patron at a restaurant complained that his potato was sliced too thick so the cook, disgusted, sliced his potatoes disturbingly thin?

Poutine is absolutely incredibly awesome. I love poutine. Simply love it. Want some right now. Who wants to bring me poutine? (you have to travel to Ohio though - I'm near Cleveland)

Bollocks.

Personally I don't care that much for Cajun food; It's basically French food with even more mysterious meat and a bucket of hot sauce, but it seems to be one of the more raved about things to make these days.

I've always thought the bacon most people eat is pretty overrated. I've never had store bought bacon that was especially good, but I grew up on a farm and hogs and goats were our main products. Our bacon is pretty fucking delicious.

Mayonnaise is a terribly evil blight set upon this world by Satan.

Take a boat to Toronto. I'm certain you can find a good poutine in Toronto. I must say that bad poutine SUCKS.

Cajun food has 0% in common with french food.

Other than this, like most threads about food with american people in it, it s all about junk food. No wonder you are the most obese people on earth.

I enjoy Italian food, but I think it's overrated. My favorite cuisine is Mexican (not fast food or sort-of-like Mexican)... authentic Mexican food. And there are only a few places that have that.

I also enjoy Cuban food from this restaurant - http://www.almadecubarestaurant.com/

Maybe not Parisian food, but it's rather similar to some provincial dishes; lots of herbs, onions, and roux. I don't hate it or anything, it's just a bit too intense for me.

Because I dislike Toronto? It is an asphalt concrete city with no panache. Montreal has WAY more style, as does NYC. I'm sure Detroit has more spirit, but when I was in Windsor it was kind of boring except for the strip bars.

Well we re not the only ones to use herbs and onions as far as i know, and i don t even know what roux is even after googling it. Seriously, it has absolutely nothing to do with french food. Cajun are french descendants but have a culture of their own. Food in quebec has nothing to do with french or cajun food either. It s like saying british & american food are similar.

I was offered two choices. I don't really eat French food, so I chose Italian. And I like Italian food.
