Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6740016 Stephen Moore is a long time defender of low taxes on the wealthy less regulation..blah...blah..blah.
Anything in particular you want to talk about in that article?

I never took it that way as much as I took it as simply making the point that "even our liberals aren't very liberal". Which is largely true.
As someone who has said this you are 100% correct Woody,I mostly used it descriptively, and perhaps to emphasise the point that often Americans are globally unaware and self absorbed.Any regular poster here can vouch for that.Hard to say if that has caused America problems or not..

Obama is far from blameless, but the PRISM program was instituted under Bush.
So much for change eh?
Indeed.
It sounds like something straight from the plot of a sci-fi movie: By 2015, all Americans will be implanted with a microchip per order of Obamacare.

Don't the same group of people run the US regardless of who is elected?

No thanks, BBS. I'm busy spewing some crap I heard from a highly laminated pundit on politics and stuff.
Oh, you are? I really wish you'd stop doing that.
I can't stop it. They do all the thinking for me, so why think?
I know, right? All you need is one pool of slop to get the whole picture.

I was already there in the RFID thread and the Obamacare thread. thanks for continuing to talk about it. One of these days enough people will care, and then they will ask us "where were you in 2012?"

do you know why Ron Paul did not sign onto the articles of impeachment that Dennis Kucinich brought forth against George Bush in 2008?The time to stop this would have been then.
oops I am,I thought this was still about eavesdropping of Americans.Phatscotty wrote:ooge wrote:Phatscotty wrote:NoSurvivors wrote:It sounds like something straight from the plot of a sci-fi movie: By 2015, all Americans will be implanted with a microchip per order of Obamacare.

Impeaching Bush would not automatically repeal the repeal anything(neither did electing O), so I'm not sure what you are getting at. Obamacare wasn't passed until 2009, unless you are talking about something else

3. While everyone was busily losing their shpadoinkle on Twitter and the blogs, Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Yahoo, Microsoft, Paltalk, AOL and Apple all announced in separate statements that not only were they unaware of any PRISM program, but they also confirmed that there’s no way the government had infiltrated the privately-owned servers maintained by these companies. Furthermore, Google wrote, “Indeed, the U.S. government does not have direct access or a “back door” to the information stored in our data centers. We had not heard of a program called PRISM until yesterday.” Google also described how it will occasionally and voluntarily hand over user data to the government, but only after it’s been vetted and scrutinized by Google’s legal team.

For the Ceo's to say anything else would be economic suicide
Juan_Bottom wrote:I disagree.
If the NSA wanted to hack into google's servers, they'd probably have to break into their offices and do it on site.
If, hypothetically speaking, they wanted to hack into Google's servers with a laptop somehow, I would bet all the money in the world that Google would beat them. Google has infinity dollars to spend on this, and the very brightest minds that money can buy. Furthermore, all of their employees are extremely happy, so there's no reason whatsoever for them to sabotage Google either.
Who does the NSA hire to protect their servers?

These companies are all intelligent and tech-savvy enough to know that such a statement can only be a "hope" at best, rather than being definatory. This is pure salesmanship.
