Yeah, that doesn't make sense. Shorts/underwear and swimming trunks are harmless in swimming pools.

I d personally prefer to have 2dimes swimming in a speedo rather than in his dirty underwear if i meet him in a swimming pool.

Otherwise, what i do is that i use boxer shorts speedos for swimming pool. Looks less ridiculous than those short ones.
