4 time NFL MVP and a Super Bowl champion, Peyton Manning has the unique ability to make everyone around him a better player, as he did when he was with the Indianapolis Colts, leading them to a Super Bowl. Heading into his second year with the Denver Broncos, he looks to become the only Quarterback in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with two different teams.
What makes this year different? With the addition of arguably the best slot receiver in NFL history, Wes Welker, and combine that with two young emerging superstars in Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas, Peyton Manning has the best trio of wide receivers at his disposal to re-write record books. Combine that with a defense led by veteran cornerback and future Hall of Famer Champ Bailey and the up-and-rising outside linebacker Von Miller, the defense is capable of being a championship caliber defense.
The only possible challenges/threats are the New England Patriots, because they have one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game: Tom Brady. And the Houston Texans, because they are a well oiled machine that can run the ball (and at times throw the ball), and have an elite defense of the addition of Ed Reed, the return of their star middle linebacker Brian Cushing and reigning Defensive Player of the Year, JJ (S)Watt. But I believe that even though these two teams can compete with the Broncos, they will be used as stepping stones to catapult us to the biggest game sports has to offer: Super Bowl 48
