Im OT only (none of this GD rubbish) so I dont have a solid posting count base.

Also I presume there was a time where OT did count. It looks like the post count numbers have been updated to include those (but not counted the posts that were in this middle OT doesnt count period), obviously this was before my time, so I miss out here too.

There was a time, indeed. The Admin of the day decided it was bad to have people posting loads in OT and gaining the highest post counts, and decided that "only posts about CC should count!" Those were the dark ages of CC lore. The darkness has been lifted, and once again posts are equal in the eyes of all.

I think if DM was the Wham, we would all know by now. For a start we would lose the green, and would have a mustard coloured forum.

As Serbia said, posts did count at one point. Hell, there were even threads about people reaching milestone numbers. Like 5000 posts, 7000, and 10,000. People were happy. Spamalot was reigning but the Pikachu clan was making iteself known, and then all of a sudden posts here didn't count. Flame Wars was taken away. Numerous quality posters were banned, many over highly questionable evidence. And then the mod that was responsible for many of those banning went batshit crazy on the forums and ended up getting perma-banned. 2 reigning Conquerers were banned, one for being generally a dickhead to many and the other for cheating.

Dark times indeed. And it all started when posts here stopped counting.
