That was the ricin that he had Saul's guy pick pocket from Jesse. A deadly poison, which was originally created so that Jesse could poison Fring. Jesse got cold feet though, and had thought he'd lost the poison. Walt "found" the vial of the stuff in Jesse's robo vac and then hid the ricin in his wall socket.

Hell, I had to go back and watch the beginning of the first episode of season 5 "Live free or die" to reacquaint myself with that flashback you talked about. I'd forgotten about it. It has to play some part in the next two episodes. Judging from the title of the next episode, "Granite State" we know that

Sorry, don't know why I said New England, must have fantasy football on the brain. New Hampshire, that's the Granite State. Sorry for the confusion.

Well wouldn t the doc tell them what poisoning brock suffered when they were at the hospital? And you re sure about that? I kind of remember that season closing with the plant in walt s backyard and that with a little research it was the plant producing ricin.. And you re like f*ck it was walt!! Thought it was due to the low quantity of ricin given to brock that he didn t die.

No, it wasn't the plant that produces ricin. It's Lily of the valley, which has poisonous berries, which, in early stages, seems similar to ricin. When Brock got better, the doctors figured out what it actually was, and everyone (other than Walt) assumed he had just eaten some berries he found. Walt needed Jessie to think that Brock had been poisoned with the ricin, and that it was his fault.

Does anyone else think the fifth season has ruined it a bit? It all seems really over the top. Season 4's ending would've been a perfect ending to the entire show. I dislike every single character (except goodman) since watching the last five or six episodes.

I never liked Hank, so I was surprised I felt slightly sorry for him just before his death. "You're the smartest guy I ever met, and you're too stupid to see... He made up his mind ten minutes ago."

The way Walt went about getting Skyler off the hook and taking all the blame was quite impressive. I wish he hadn't though, there's not a character from any book, film or series than I hate more than her (though Cersei Lannister isn't far off).

ha, exactly like me, all idiots that deserve to die/end bad except for saul. that kind of ruins the show IMO. games of thrones, there are so many characters that you like and dislike at the same time, all serving their own interests and being very witty for the most part. On BB you're like, oh come on, is he really that stupid? Each character is desperating. Gus Frings might be the only smart guy.
I don't agree too much about Hank though. I think he was one of the most likeable. A very good cop (even though it took him far too long to discover about walt), a loving husband (anyone would've thrown that lunatic out of the house seasons ago), a good and friendly family man, always there to help his brother/sister in law and nephews. He is extremely pushy and he can be a pain, but overall he's a reasonable person.
Oh and yeah, please burn skyler and her crippled son, they are such a waste of time waching.

i still think walt's not a super awful guy. he got his whole family off scot-free and took the blame for everything. he offered his entire drug money stash to save hank's life. the only unforgivable thing he's done in the series is killing jesse's girlfriend.

still hoping they kill off skyler and marie, though.

well, here's the thing: walt can be bad and careless for others, but don't mess with his family and his money. But sometimes the character is flawed like the hank thing. Seriously, how stupid can he be? "hey guys, i'm alone in the desert, I have no leverage and you just saved my ass. would you let the DEA agent run free after you killed his partner and you can have my 80 million dollars that are sitting right there?" who was writting this shit scrypt? who on earth would do something loke that? He could ve just said that hank told him that someone else knew the whole story and that they needed to interrogate hank or something... come up with whatever bullshit... but be so incredibly retarded?

I like Walt more than Jesse. Jesse constantly pisses me off by being a complete moron. Skyler, I don't blame her that much, but there is some blame certainly, and that's what I love about this show. It shows the consequences of lying and focuses on the change in decisions people make based on how much information they have at the moment, as well as the external force that controls how much information a given person knows at any given moment.

Walt Jr. is a total hero. Even though senior isn't the best father, he seems to have at least done a lot right with junior. I also ended up liking Hank more and more as time went on. And I TOTALLY loved the name of the last episode, "Ozymandias".

I thought he was a bit of a knobhead when money became the most important thing to him even though he had more than enough, but I still liked him up until when he killed Mike, who was one of my favourite characters. To me, that is the only unforgivable thing he's done, but that's more than enough. I didn't really blame him for what happened to Jane. Yes he let her die, but he definitely wouldn't have actively killed her (at the time) and the reason he didn't intervene was because he believed her life was fucked anyway due to drugs and if she were to remain alive she would take Jesse down with her.

Well yeah, even though Walt is a son of a bitch, it's Jesse who continuously screws up. I would even say, if Jesse wasn't so stupid, Walt would have never had to do 75% of the things he did.

Don't you give Walt any points for giving Jesse the 5 mil?

ah yeah, killing mike was pretty bad.

he actually did actively kill jane, you'll notice that he turns her onto her back when he's trying to wake up jesse, which causes her to eventually choke on her own vomit. it would have been an accidental death if he hadn't stood there and watched her die without helping.

Yeah, I liked Mike, but don't you think those legacy payments were total bull? Plus, Mike almost killed Walt a fe times didn't he? But what was it again that Walt was trying to get from Mike before he would hand over the money? (just before he shot him)

About Jane, which is a spittin image of my X btw except she was blonde, so much so that I called her and we are talking again! And I didn't notice he turned her on her back...you sure about that? I thought he was at the end of the bed and she was already on her back? but I could be wrong. That definitely when he revealed how much of a bastard he was, but I didn't mind all that much because she was just going to rip Jesse off anyways and control him. I don't think she loved him that much.
