World War II in Europe Every Day

I made a map animation video showing World War II in Europe everyday. Please comment and tell me what you think!


Legend:

AXIS POWERS
Maroon = Axis Powers and their annexed lands. (Germany proper, Italy proper, etc.)
Burgundy = Areas militarily occupied by the Axis Powers
Red = Puppet states (Slovakia, Vichy France, etc.)
Pink = Gains made that day.
ALLIES
Blue = Allied powers/allied occupied lands
Light blue = Gains made that day.
FINLAND (before Mar 3, 1945)
Dark purple = Finland proper
Purple = occupied by Finland
Light Purple = Gains made that day.
USSR (before Jun 22, 1941)
Dark Green = USSR proper and annexed lands
Green = Militarily occupied lands
Light green = gains made that day.

I did research as I went to save time and even with my prior knowledge, it took several months. But it was worth it.

Was it a class, or personal, project?

It seems like you paid a lot of attention to detail, coloring specific parts of Norway, instead of just the whole lot. I liked it!

Fuckin Russians trying to move the Red Sea to Siberia. Things really are getting out of hand. Why are they only trying to take half of it?

It was a personal project as my entire YouTube channel is based off of these type of videos. I made sure to be as detailed as possible by looking at multiple perspectives. I'd find a front line map of a campaign so i can get weekly or monthly details. Then I'd look up the histories of the major towns within the front lines to find their date of surrender or fall. Then I'd compared it with my military atlas of world war 2.
