Even if Switzerland wasn't a small country that shares a land border with France, there are a bunch of political reasons why France wouldn't nuke a militarily-neutral fellow European nation. Not least because in the Swiss army's training fantasy French soldiers are trying to reclaim French assets from Switzerland, not burn them to a cinder.betiko wrote:they take this shit pretty seriously for a country that has no unity and that has never been in a real conflict.

There are a bunch of political reasons why france would/has never tried to invade switzerland, so moot point. We are in a lalaland simulation, and in lalaland we would nuke the swiss for fun even if we get radiations. Reclaiming assets by invading your neighbour isn t very likely in a 21st century democracy. Not like we will ever have a saddam hussein vs koweit situation ever there. So i want the french army to go batshit crazy and nuke the hell out of the swiss please. Oh, and that mountain air base i was talking about is actually a nuclear shelter too for 20000+ people. So if they created a nuclear shelter, why not got a bit further in their simulation and check what they would do with their assets.

If fiat currencies are failing--say from hyperinflation, then the government will grow very interested in hard currencies (like gold, silver, etc.). If Switzerland possesses large amounts, then it may be worth invading. Nuking them doesn't help.
Indefinite deficit-spending, further tax increases, and greater regulation won't lead France to greater prosperity. In the long-run, it's unsustainable, so something is going to give--unless of course changes in technology and markets can make up for the slack from government. It's just a question of when.

In what world are you living? we are civilized. We steal from thrid world countries in those cases like any western county does ffs! not from our next door banker that is everyone's banker!!! Let's freaking nuke them in the simulation for f*ck SAKE!!!
i found a thing I saw from the swiss army many years ago.. it's in french though, but pretty cool. They also have some underground hospitals and everything ready for a nuclear attack. They built all this in the 70s because they were scared of the mighty communists from the USSR. They haven't been in any conflict for 200 years though. There are hundreds of fake house bunkers everywhere in switzerland as you can see in this footage.

SWITZERLAND maintained the option to develop its own nuclear weapons until 1988, according to a detailed account released by the Swiss government. The country's atomic bomb programme, which ran for 43 years, included a secret stockpile of uranium, an attempt to buy weapons-grade plutonium and plans for 400 nuclear warheads.
A report was prepared in response to media speculation by Jurg Stussi, the Swiss government's senior military historian. It confirms that Switzerland seriously considered acquiring the bomb in order to deter perceived threats from Germany and the Soviet Union. "In an anarchic world we were prepared in case we needed it," he says.
Stussi, who was given free access to the government's internal documents on the weapons programme, reveals that until 1981 the Swiss maintained a military store of uranium ore in Wimmis, 35 kilometres southeast of Bern. It was not covered by the international safeguards meant to prevent ...
